I have taken my interior door panel off because the drivers side window came off the track and would not go back up. After getting it back on track, I found the bamper in the bottom of the door. I looked in the factory shop manual and that is what this roller is called. The problem is that it says to install the bamper, then install the chrome trim on the outside of the door. There is no location to attach this bamper to. There is no clean spot, so it has been off for quite a while. I have searched the archives and have not found any related threads. Has anyone had to deal with this issue? If so, where does this little rubber roller attach? Thank you for your time…

Hey guys. I had these seats in the classifieds section and haven't gotten response from anyone so im putting it in this thread. The tan ones are on ebay. But i am also currently redoing black ones and white ones (both will also be going on ebay soon) they are the save design and material. I will post pictures soon to show you guys the quality of the work. I would also like to offer my services to you guys though. The prices would be way cheaper then what im asking on ebay (almost half). I can do seats and door panels and all that. Just pm me what you need, what colors, and what material and i might be able to do it for cheap (price not quality!) Heres the link if anyon…

Here is a question I have about the shifter in my car. Its obviously not stock, I would presume. Most of the shifters I've seen are threaded on the end and the shift knob screws onto the shifter. My shifter has a whole in it that is threaded and the shift knob has to screw into the shifter. This was very annoying when I bought my shifter from MSA. I had to make one of these to make it work... I welded to bolts together with the thread size for the shifter and one for the shift knob. Worked great. Until recently when I added shifter bushings I was trying to get the Z lined up right I broke the bolt. So now I either got to make another one or buy a new s…

I've read several post about the "push pin" original rivits and their problems. Has anyone found an alternative type pin? I want to be able to remove and replace them easier. My Miata has several different kinds. Some, you can pull the pin by it's head. Some smaller ones are a design I really like. They have a philips head that you can screw the pin out. Both of these come in and out on a regular basis when I'm doing mods. I don't know a source or the correct size ( I hate to buy new correct ones just to find out what size) I'm starting from scratch on this interior with new panels and I don't have any of the old stuff. Thanks, John

Well as the title says I did my own Mod. to my clock. I was tired of looking at my Z clock being in the same spot since I purchased the car. I tried to fix the clock that was there but the oscillating spring was broken off of the main shaft. After setting the clock guts aside in a zip lock bag, I decided to take action and do something of my own. The clock I used was a 8$ travel alarm from Target. I cut the clock out of it's body down to a useable frame. I also made a plate from perforated .050" aluminum to fit where the clock face did. I mounted the LCD and the chip that runs it along with the buttons for adjustment all on the back side of the plate I made. So here is …

I'm going to lay dynamat down in the passenger area of the car, and maybe the cargo area as well. I want to get this done before my carpet arrives, but I need to order the stuff. How much should be enough? Has anyone sound insulated their car lately? Any feedback would be great, so I don't purchase too much/not enough. Thanks!

I have installed the HotRod Air aftermarket AC in my Z and am not satisfied with the air flow provided by the center vent over the vent controls. I have a 70 240Z with a later model vent that diffuses the air both to the right and to the left, but I am trying to find a vent that will help me concentrate the air to the driver. Here in Arizona the hot summers are challenging for any AC system and focusing the air directly on the driver would add in the comfort department. I am hoping I can find a replacement vent of the same size, with louver controls. Here is a pic of my original vent, which has big gaps and does not concentrate the air at all where I want it. Any t…
