I found a deal on a complete dash cover for a 260z, but I have a 240. I thought the dashes were the same . Is the shape different or what? Is it possible to use the cover for the 260 on a 240? I appreciate your help.

I've spent the last 2 days applying "eDead" brand sound deadener mats in the floors, tranny tunnel, and rear deck of my 78 Coupe. Now it's time to do the doors. I've read all the posts in the archives, but still am unsure exactly how to proceed with this part of the job. Several of you have said that you installed the mats to the "inside of the outer door panel." To me that means you had to cut the mats into small pieces and stick them onto the outer panel by squeezing your hands through the small holes of the inner door panel. Even then, there are areas of the outer panel that I don't see how you can possibly reach due to no holes within reach. What am I missing here?…

I just purchased the quarter glass panels, carpet kit, headliner, and rubber seal kit from Classic Datsun Motorsports (all in black). I probably could have gotten carpet cheaper somewhere, but I decided to stay OEM on this. Besides, I'm happy with the others things I've purchased from Les. I had a good headliner until I hit it with the sharp edge of an icescraper one morning. I could have just punched myself in the throat at that moment, man was I PO'ed at myself. If I can ever get my car painted I'll install the new stuff. I never imagined body and paint work to be the most difficult task in the universe. Apparently the new interior panels will not exactly match m…

'70 Z. The FSM is silent on this subject. Do any of you have any suggestions on how to keep the boot skirt tucked in to the console? Thanks for your assistance. Regards, Frank

Me and my dad are going to do a restoration project on a 1972 240z for my first car, which is in like 1 1/2 years. First off, since we are gonna restore a ton of stuff, what should i put inside? and do you think a 1 1/2 years is enough? Here's the link to the car http://seattle.craigslist.org/sno/car/613007605.html

This thread is about the internal SCUFF plate. This thread has nothing to do with the external KICK plate which has the DATSUN logo embossed. In the recent thread by Astrohog http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=25416 there were some views traded but I moved this discussion here so as not to continue to hijack that thread. My HS30 has a build date of 12/70. It came to me with aluminium scuff plates fitted. I am not the orginal owner. Courtesy Nissan has emailed me confirming that the scuff plates they list http://www.courtesyparts.com/Merchan...Code=76942-S30 are made of steel. So this raises a few questions regarding my scuff plates that I am curio…

I need help identifying this weatherstrip. I don't have a pic yet. This is for the doors, and has 6 metal clips on it, and is roughly 24" long. Both L, and R, doors have one. Its been a while since i took these off, and i'm now putting all the glass back in the doors, and can't remember where they go. Thanks in advance. Danny
