I just covered my dash with a carbon fiber vinyl and put on some Speedhut gauge covers. What do you guys think of the new look? <a href="http://s183.photobucket.com/albums/x304/clayton260Z/?action=view¤t=zcar030.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x304/clayton260Z/zcar030.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s183.photobucket.com/albums/x304/clayton260Z/?action=view¤t=zcar031.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x304/clayton260Z/zcar031.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> <a href="http://s183.photobucket.com/albums/x304/clayton260Z/?act…

Had replaced my original radio with a nice period looking Kenwood KRC-2007. Fits nicely and had no trouble wiring it up. This was a few years ago and bought it from a local electronics store. Well it's no longer working and would like to replace it with the same model. I can not find any source for a new one. Locally, ebay and the internet has all come up short. Any suggestions where I could purchase one from?

Question - My 1973's dash has no cross shaped indent mark near the hazard switch (it is smooth) - is this correct? How can you visually tell the difference between the '72 and '73 dash? According to Zhome.com, my dash should have the indentation?

I have searched the archives and have not come up with an answer to this question. Was the original early 5 speed shift knob, that was used in markets other than North America the same size as the 4 speed knob we got here? I have read that the replacement 4 speed knobs are larger than the original 4 speed knobs. Is this also true of the 5 speed knobs or were the original 5 speed knobs larger originally? In these pics an original 4 speed knob is compared with a genuine Nissan 5 speed replacement knob. I haven't seen a comparison pic of an original 5 speed knob and a replacement 5 speed knob anywhere.

My speedo cable and hood release cable come through the same hole in my firewall, is that correct? If so, is there a grommet that fits the 1 1/2 inch hole that accomodates 2 cables? Thanks, Stephen

I am to the point of installing Dynamat or Fatmat in my doors. What do you recommend; installing the sound deadener on the inside of the outer door shell, or install it inside the door panel? If inside the door panel, does it screw up the panel attaching to the inside of the door? Thanks!

Hi gang, I need help tracking down a potentially obscure part for my '72 240z. I'm in need of two clamps that hold the vinyl sleeve of the control cables of the heat/vent control. They were disconnected when I got the car and I have no idea if I can get a replacement. Does anyone have any idea of where to find such an item (and even what to call it)? Thanks for your help! Greg

I am thinking about replacing my stock restored seats in my '78 280z for the Cobra Clubman. I was wondering if anyone here has them and if so, can you give some feedback? After restoring my stock seats with new foam and new upholstery, I haven't been satisfied with the lack of support and comfort. Any feedback or opinions would be appreciated. Thanks. Andre

I have recovered the seats in my 1972 240z and am not sure which side is which. Does the release lever on the seat bottom of the drivers seat go on the door side or on the tunnel side of the seat? Another question, on the seat backs I noticed that where the bracket bolts screw into the seat back frame , on one side the frame is flat and on the other side the threaded nut is raised. Which side does the raised threaded part face for the drivers side, on the door side or the tunnel side? Thanks Bob M
