I've read a ton of posts about how the new door seals are larger than the stock ones and cause problems. Anyone bought the ones from here: http://www.new-datsun-parts.com/datsun-240Z-parts-rubber1.html since they are Nissan would they fit without adjustment? I'd rather go to the dentist than try to adjust the doors.

I've had four or five early 240Z - Series I consoles, but have never seen one with this lever/switch on the right hand side like in this eBay auction. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190134726678&indexURL=0&photoDisplayType=2#ebayphotohosting Any ideas? - it could be a P.O. add on, but looks almost OEM installed. The winner, by the way, got a great deal if the ashtray is in as good of shape as it looks. Getting the ashtray alone for $105 with shipping is a bargain considering what the things are going for lately. I was watching, but snoozed. Got good consoles, just would like a spare ashtray - just in case.

anyone have a quick how-to on removing the factory radio from a '73 without breaking anything? Do you have to remove the complete center section with the heater controls?

I have a two part question, and am looking for some advice and opinions. My 72 has a orange 110 exterior, white interior, with black carpets. I am going to replace the carpet soon with a new carpet kit from MSA. I have seen the kit that covers the wheel wells and shock towers.and am leaning toward putting that particular one in my car. My car is a nice daily driver and the white on the shock towers and wheel wells could be in better condition.So this is my dilemma. A. Would you guys cover the white with the black carpet kit if it was your car? B. How does it attach to the towers and and wheel wells? Glue on or Velcro? If it was put on with velcro I could live with that. …

Had my seats redone this week and used the MSA foam kits and seat kits and strap kits. And I am happy the way they came out except !!!! One of the workers lost the cap that goes over the seat adjustment knob, that is for the 70/71 seats !!!! Could anyone help me out I am desperate to get a cover for the adjustment knob !!! I was sick today when I picked the seats up today and the piece was missing !!!! Sure as heck could not prove that the piece was missing when I delivered him the seats my word against his !!!! I take pictures of the seats tonight to clarify the part I need and if anyone can help me out I will gladly pay for the part and shipping !!!! Is there so…

Does anyone know where a spare tire cover can be purchased - or have a spare one (no pun intended) laying around that they would be willing to part with? Or better yet, can someone post pics and dimensions so that I can simply cut a new one from fiber board. Any diagram/drawing format will be fine with me : Adobe Acrobat, AutoCAD, MicroStation, PhotoShop, sketch on a napkin, etc... I have a '75 280z and I imagine that the spare tire cover should be the same for all full size spare equipped S30's - I could, however, be wrong about that. Thanks,

On the small panel above the fuses there are three small bulbs that lite the the instraments. One is for the seat belts, one for the rear defroster and a third for either the hand brake or reverse gear(?). There were no bulbs in my 72 when I bought it and the regular dash bulbs are too large in diameter to fit. Can someone tell me what sizes they are and if they are readily available at auto stores? Thanks.

Anyone have pictures of the stock seats redone in cloth and/or a mix with cloth down the center and vinyl/leather at the sides? My seats need redone and I love the look of the leather upholstery kit that MSA has but in a car with no A/C I'd rather have cloth to sit on.

My Choke keeps on moving back up when i drive and the choke light keeps coming on, so i keep pushing it down, and moves up again in a minute. is there anyway to prevent this. without duct taping the sucker down.

For a long time now my passnger side door has been really bad at squeaking when I drive. Its not just when I'm going over a bump, it squeaks just about constantly when I drive. If I reach over and pull on the door, i can make it go away for the most part, but its not exactly practical to drive sprawled across the passenger seat holding the door closed. Is there something I can tighten or adjust to make this stop? The door doesn't feel loose or close unevenly. If anyone has suggestions I would appriciate it. This squeaking really makes it unpleasent to drive the car.

Can anyone tell me how far below the curve in the door (just above the door handle) the door reinforcement goes across? and how far down it extends. I have some door dings that I'd like to have the paintless dent removal guy take out but if they are behind the reinforcement he wont be able. -Trevor
