Can anyone post a close up of how their door seals sit or tell us how they mount. Have received new door seals but the old ones were a botch job (just insertion rubber glued on) and every way that I try to put them on looks right but I am unable to close the door as the seal fouls on it. Thanks Biker

For those of you who may not have seen the earlier threads relating to early shift boots & "pigtail" wiring covers for the 70-71 cars: I have produced some very good (according to all who have purchased) reproductions of the early 70's & 71 gear shift boots, emergency brake boots, & pigtail wiring covers (under passenger side dash). You can see a lot more info. in other threads as mentioned above. All 3 pieces are done in the same material and are very close to the original grain patterns. I believe the emergency brake boots may be the same for 70-78 cars and a little better price. If ordered individually, the price on the pigtail wire cover is $20, emerg…

Afternoon Everyone Is anyone aware of a (8) 1975 or later 280Z with a decent interior being scrapped? It appears I am missing the black plastic panel(drivers side) that covers the speaker up to the strut tower. I beleive this panel differs from earlier units (240 and 260 maybe), in that it is thicker , and has rectangular slots as ventilation holes along top edge. Any help in aquiring this piece would be greatly appreciated . Bloxman

Hi guys! Just starting my restoration of a 72, and I'm a little confused as to the carpet / vinyl configuration. My car appears to have the quilted vinyl cover over the trans tunnel, and individual floor "mats" (carpet), one in each footwell / floor pan. Is this accurate? The great news is I pulled the "carpet" and insulation up and the floors are in great shape. AZ car, bought at West Valley in 1971 and has never left the state.

The clear plastic faces on a couple of my gauges look a little fogged; I get hit with a penalty at a show. Maybe somebody used some cleaner with a little too much solvent or something, but can I get them nice & clear again? Brasso maybe? thx

Anyone out there that can give me some advice on recovering my 280z seats? Should I replace the foam or just add foam to some of the damaged areas? I live in a cold area during this time of the year and was wondering if it would be better to do the recovering in the late spring or early summer to let the sun warm up the vinyl? Thanks for your help, Dan

My clutch pedal on my 76 280Z has alot of play from side to side and depending on the outside air temp it works super easy when it real cold and stiffens up when its hot. I've had the car since it was new and the best I can remember the pedal worked alot easier when it was new.I recently changed the clutch pressure plate throw out bearing etc. Are those bushings that the pedal pivots on hard to change? They are only $3.00 but it looks awful tight under there. Thanks for any advice.....

Here's a picture of a label I've made for the heater control levers. Can anyone with a 1970 let me know if I'm missing any words in the middle & lower boxes. The existing words on my control panel are hard to read and I can edit the label as required. These were printed on my computer in MS Word. Before I peel them off the backing I'm going to lightly spray the surface with a matte, polyurethane finish to hopefully keep the letters from smearing if rubbed. These labels are the correct width, they'll need trimmed with a razor and straight-edge to the correct height. Bruce

I have the origional shift knob for my 260, and I was wondering if there was any way to restore the red, white, and blue in it? Is this shift knob rare? The only other ones I have seen have the gears labeled on it.
