Thanks to all for help with last week's seat cover questions. Re-using the wire bead for the seat bottoms worked just fine... Is the passenger side seat designed to not go back as far as the driver's side seat? There's not as much travel in the slide with the lever, in mine -- passenger side vs. driver's side. That is, the teeth can't go into as many rear-ward holes. Although even on the driver's side, travel is limited and some rear holes don't get used. I've got a slide from a '76 where there's no limit to the travel and all holes get used. Anyway -- I can't tell if this passenger-side slide is not working right, or if it's designed that way. Thanks for any help. Steve.

I can't seem to find the website that sells the FloFit seat brackets for 240Z. If anyone is willing to sell their seat bracket or know a website that does sell 'em, please provide to this thread. THANK YOU. For those who ask why in the hell I decided to go with FloFit seats, decisions weren't in my hands. 1) They came with the car; 2) I have no money for better seats; and 3) Rather have these over stock seats. Please help me out, thanks.

I received my genuine weatherstripping from MSA and it has been glued together. It's glued in the corner - which I don't really care about, but it is glued again about half way down the longer piece where it would cross the dash near the upper door hinge. It looks like someone cut it by mistake, glued it back together with rubber cement about 10 years ago and then sent it back to the dealership. I called MSA, and after a little research they told me the other one they had in stock was also glued together and that is how it came from the factory. Does anyone else out there have the genuine WS that has a seam in the middle? Thanks, Z

My '74Z has original push button AM-FM radio. I have taken to local radio installation shop, CARTOYS, for new radio for new and better sound, but they tell me that the depth of the original radio is only about 4.75 inches deep. New radios now are much deeper than this. Looks like new radio with CD player is out of the question, but does anybody have any input on possible AM/FM - Cassette radio that might fit this. Installer is perplexed as am I. Had nice Alpine radio picked out, but won't fit. Thanks for your help.

I've got new foam from MSA (looks great) and new seat covers via eBay, also look good. Neither has instructions. So if anyone who's done this can help... 1. Seat bottoms. My original seats ('73) have pointed tabs all around the base that poke through the vinyl and fold over. There's a wire bead running through the upholstery where the drawstring is on the new stuff. Common arrangement. Are people getting good results with just the drawstring, or should I try to thread a wire through there as well as in the original job, using the pointed tabs? 2. There's a crosswise slot in the MSA seat bottom foam and a wire rod in corresponding place on the springs. For the low area in …

I'm getting to reupholstering my 1970 Z seats and would like to do leather. MSA has some offered in the latest catalog, so I'm wondering if anyone would recommend those or some other. I did a search, but the threads were getting old. I will do a complete rebuild with new foam and straps also. Any thoughts are appreciated. Jim

Please excuse my ignorance, but is this piece of cardboard origami with staples in it my glove box? It's brand new in a Nissan bag... If so, does anyone make something a little nicer? If not, I'm thinking I might have it dipped in black acrylic. But, will it deform when it gets wet? Can I shellac it or something? Seems like the acrylic would work... Z

I need to replace the latch/locking mechanisms on my passenger door and haven't seen any on EBay recently. What does a new/used set go for and where besides MSA or VB could I get them?

I'm getting ready to install my rear interior panels (quarter panels etc) and I've noticed that the vinyl covering the wheel wells isn't glued down. Should I just use Spray 77 or is there a better longer lasting product? Plus, do I need to do anything to keep the plastic panels from squeaking where they overlap? I don't know that they will but it seems like they might. I'd rather just do the install once... Thanks, Z

Im having a few issue's with my heater, It dosent seem to be working, in that its not filling up the cabin with hot air!!! The fan is certainly working, but when i move the lever to "hot" the air stay's nice and cold even after the engine has warmed up, This might be inter-related, but the Front Window de-mister vent's arent working either, no air is coming through the vents, i checked and made sure there was no blockage's and that the hoses were connected and crawled about under my dash to make sure the lever was actually doing something and it certainly is, anybody got any theories on this?

Before I put my dash back in, I'm trying to put my fan against the firewall after installing the Honda blower motor. I put it in to see how much of a gap I'd have between the top of the blower motor & the vent hole in the cowl area. I attached it into the car & screwed it fully into place. There's definitely a gap there. I guess my question is what type of material can be used as a gasket to ensure both durability and a tight seal to maximize air flow through the vents? What was on there was some type of rubbery gasket sealant type (don't know how to explain it) that was pretty thick. Instead of using another type of sealant similar to what was already there,…
