Were lap timers ever an option (factory or dealer) for Z's ? Attached is a picture of a Japanese Kanto Seiki unit which is reputed to have been supplied to Nissan.

Hi everyone, This thread is probably more to do with Australian Road laws and such but If you have any good ideas feel free to suggest them. Recently I bought a set of Recaro's(See my gallery). I have pulled the old seats out and done a few measurements(don't have those here). The seats should fit fine but the rails I have will either require redrilling of the seat mounts(attached to the floor) because they are longer and wider. The Vicroads website requires that the car mst be inspected and given a certificate of approval for a change in seats that are not offered by the manufacturer. http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/vrne/vrne5nav.nsf/childdocs/-6F89CFC1046…

Passenger side (although it looks interchangeable with driver side) window winder spindle wanted for 1975 260Z. This is the one encapsulated in the regulator mechanism and directly attaches to the winder handle - see photo. Ideally I do not want the whole regulator due to weight/shipping costs to the UK. USPS letter post preferred. Thanks guys, Dave (PS also posted in Clasified ads wanted section).

I have all new carpet on the way (Deluxe Loop Pile kit from Too Intense). It looks pretty straightforward to swap out carpet but I thought I'd throw the question out there. Is it as simple as gluing it down or are there other factors to consider? What kind of adhesive would you recommend? Also - is the carpet in the floor pan area supposed to tuck under the scuff plates? My car is missing the scuff plates but I have purchased new sill and scuff plates to replace once the new carpet is in. I searched for prior threads on this and didnt see any. Maybe it is too easy and obvious. Thanks

On a 280Z Does anyone have pictures of the two pieces that go along the bottom edge of the dash? The pic in the microfiche don't show you how it should look with the pieces in place. The bottom right piece has a flare & curve on the left end and a notch on the right for the vent knob. The bottom left pice is long and narrow with several notches along the bottom edge for vent knob & hood release knob. thx

I need some new plastic retainers that insert into holes in the doors that the metal clips attached to the interior door panel fit into. Are these parts available? I looked in the VB catalog but didn't see any listed. Anyone have a good part # or source for these? I need some of the metal clips also but I think I can aquire these at the junk yard, the plastic inserts won't come out without breaking or tearing apart in my experiance.

My Z is being stripped to metal, in removing as much small stuff as I could, I had to trash the little rubber buttons that are on either side of the tail gate channels below the hatch bumpers...I can't locate that part in the parts CD diagram of the area...also needing the two rubber plugs on the bottom of the hatch, is this the "grommet" (#71, on page 121 -6)? Thanks for any info... :beard:

I am in the process of putting back the original radio in my '72. There is a fuse connector (blue wire) with the 2 white/white & black that I beleive are the speaker wires. The fuse connector is almost 3 inches long, could someone tell me what kind of fuse goes in there.

I am in the process of switching out the 1973 heater control plate (I assume 1973 because of the illuminated control option - see pic) to a more original and not broken pre 73 faceplate. The issue I am having is the heater controls don't seem to mount properly to the new faceplate. There is a oval shaped piece of plastic with 2 screw holes in it that block the way. Again I've tried to picture it. Does that piece of plastic need to be cut off somehow or do these look like incompatible heater controls with the faceplate? I am assuming the solution is to get new controls since I want to use the new faceplate but would like some input. 1 picture shows old faceplate (t…
