I'm getting ready to replace the carpet in my red 240Z. I want to stay with the original style loop pile carpet, rather than the more modern cut pile. So far, I've found at least three suppliers for the loop pile, MSA, Too Intense and Datsun Spirit. Has anyone bought any loop carpet from any of these vendors recently? If so, what was the quality of the carpet kit? Did it come with replacement jute?

Issue: I need to install the A-Pillar. I know that it is glued on, however how does the edge trimming look like? Is it just glued on, or doe it have the metal trim on one or both of its edges? Progress: I bought: the A-Pillar kit, the Glue (Contact liquid and Spray), and I also have the metal strip. Have looked at pictures online, but cant really tell if the material is just glued on with the edges rolled over and glued or if it has the metal trim on the edges. Can anyone send me good pictures of both the top and the sides so I can see what it is supposed to look like? Thanks you.

Anyone know where this little spacer goes? And what orientation it needs? It fell out of the door panel when I was trying to get the armrest installed. on a side note, how do you guys get the door panels off without completely ruining the cardboard? It seems that the clips don’t want to release? Special tool?

Would like to upgrade the stock seats in my restomod '71 240z to some nice aftermarket seats, maybe Recaro's? Is there a sub-group focused on interior upgrades? Thanks

Has anyone attempted to restore a 280Z steering wheel? I've seen plenty of 240Z wheels, but the only mention I can find of a 280Z wheel is from 2004. I'm thinking of stripping it down to the bone, then wrapping it with layers of fiberglass, topped by a cover.

I removed the seat belts 3 years ago when I started some restoration work. Now I'm trying to put them back in, and I cannot determine where this part goes: This is a view of the lower retractor with the plastic cover removed. The unknown part is in the red box. I assume they go in the lower retractor, but I'm not even sure of that. There are two of these, and they are identical (i.e. not mirror image). The FSM doesn't show these. Does anybody know what these are, and where they go, or are they even needed?

What cleaning products are advised to maintain a 280z front dash (intact) to keep it clean and/or protect? (car is parked indoors and out of the sunlight) Any links to products that people found useful, please chime in. Products to avoid would also help inform us. Thanks in advance!

Please see attached photos....Many years ago I purchased this NIB radio to eventually install in my 78Z. At the time I purchased it, I thought that it was the original factory radio for a 78Z. I came to this conclusion by simply observing that, visually, it was identical to the original radio that came with my 78Z. My original equipment radio works, sorta, but has "issues". However, recently, I noticed that box label on this replacement radio states "KMS-2511Z" and "280ZX Coupe". The original radio is labeled "KMS-2411Z". I found this curious mainly because my understanding was that the radios in the ZX models beginning in 79 had a completely different (new? …

I'm replacing the kick panel on the driver's side of my 1970 240Z, and I need to replace the rivet that holds it in. I've seen one online for $19 but that seems pretty steep for one plastic rivet. Has anyone found a better source or another part that will work for this application?
