I just recieved a 77 280z with a great interior, but it has no title. It sat for eight years, and has rusted through in many places. The thing is that I also have a 72 240 with a red interior, but it is very lacking. My question is, how much of the interior is transferrable? I would like to take teh seats, door panels, dash cap, and fuel injection off the 280 and put it in the 240. Also, since the 240 has a red interior and the 280 has black. Does anyone know a good paint / dye to get the headliner, rear interior panels, and vinyl black? Thanks a lot, Brian S.

Question: I've added a link to one of my gallery photos (hope that works). My 240 has seat covers with cloth in the center section (base and back). The stitching pattern appears to be exactly as it should be (from other 240's I've seen). Was this a factory/dealer option. or are they aftermarket? The driver side cover is going to need replacing, and before I got the car I was sure I would go with the traditional all vinyl covers. However, now that I have the car, these cloth insert seats are kinda growing on me. If they're original (offered from the factory, or even at the dealer), I may consider trying to hunt one down as the passenger seat is in great shape. Anyone have …

Hey Everbody, I just bought this shift knob on eBay, and I am hoping it is going to work with my '71 series 1 240Z. It seems to have the proper 8mm X 1.25 threading. An old post on this forum says that some Jaguar knobs will work. This one is the MOMO OEM knob from the XJS. I picked up a pair of of black leather RX7 seats today at the wrecking yard I believe from about an 89 model. The price was $25 each and they are not in bad shape no large tares or holes etc. All the need is a little tender loving care. Has any one used these seats before? Also any one know of a good place to order leather dye and oils etc? Will try to get pics up soon if any one is interested.

I was looking for some acura integra seats (just looking mind you) and I saw these seats, 2 of them for $150, and that seems really hard to believe they are any good (even if they don't have mounting brackets)... Just wondering if anyone knew anything about them....they say they are JDM racing seats, but I doubt it. What do ya all think? Later,

My 71 240z has a level next to the choke for what would be a mechanical cruise control. Everything is there but the bracket at the gas pedal to hold the cable end. Has anyone any experience with this and/or does anyone have the mystery bracket I'm in need of?

I am currently in the process of panting my steering wheel, and I am angered by the paint. I have read the threads on this site and I am also following the article in SZM (fall 2001). I have primered and painted the wheel using the same paints in the article. Everything looks good, but the paint can be easily scratched off by a finger nail. It is not tacky in any way, but it just comes off too easily. I painted my fuel rail using the same paint maybe two months ago, and it is as solid as a rock. What gives? It says on the paint can that for the hardest surface, it can be heated to 300 Degrees Fahrenheit. Is it ok to put the steering wheel in the oven? The rim b…
