I just talked to the people at speed hut yesterday and they told me that they will start with our gauges next week sometime, they will be on the web site for pre-ordering sometime around wednesday the 17 of july. These gauges will be for all the z's between 69 and 78, however if you have a car that is not a 73 or 74 they will need good clear pictures of your gauges, you can wait and send them to speed hut or send them to me at abbottbd@student.gvsu.edu. Thanks to everyone who called or e-mailed speed hut or myself for the interest. Brian

I was able to replace 1 vent hose with shop vac hose but can't find 2" hose for the ac which are either cracked or missing. Tried plummbing supply and big box. It's amazing what else you can find when all I wanted to do was see where the green and white wire went! Any ideas for hoses welcome. thanks

Hi, let me start off by saying that I am a proud owner of a 260z (my first car) over the last couple of days my passenger side door has been getting harder and harder to open. I should have probaly went inside the door to try to see what the problem is put was too busy/lazy. But anyways, now the door won't open at all. I'm about to get inside the door but decided that I should get a little bit advice on what to look for first. Also, I don't know if this has anything to do with what I just pointed out but, around the same time it bcame that the only way you can close the door good is by slamming it. Thanks for any help.

I've tried the 'Wanted' Forum but no luck so can anybody get hold of a pair of hinges for my series 1 tool boxes please ? Perhaps just a photo because I guess they are simple to copy ? Never seen any. Thanks, Dave (UK)

I just recently bought a 71' 240z shell and i started ripping everything out. The whole center console and floor panel was covered in (i think) some type of sound proof tar. It took me a while to take it off but i eventually got it off to grind off the rust underneath. When i paint my car, would the painter have this tar to reinstalll it or would i have to do it on my own? Also, anyone know where to get most of the interior panels? I need pretty much everything from the center console to the rear end. Thanks

After doing several searches and my homework, I've decided to go with the Brown Bread insulation. I want to do almost the entire interior of the car, from the firewall, floors, doors, trans tunnel, roof, to the rear hatch area. The insulation comes in rolls of 70 sq. ft. I was wondering if anyone knows about how many sq. ft. I will need to accomplish this? Thanks.

Hi. I have a '70 240Z which had the original carpeting and padding removed, and when I got it the floor had been painted black (I can assume it was to hide any potential rust), and a new aftermarket carpet kit added, but not attached. Driving this car means that the heat off the road as well as the engine comes into the driver's compartment, making the use of the a/c all but a waste of gas. I'd like to place insulation in the compartment. I know MSA and VC sell kits, but was wondering where the insulation should go (I know, simple question). I plan to add insulation on the floor (of course), and if I feel really ambitious, would remove the seats and place insulation under…

Does anybody have a pattern to make a boot for the handbrake lever? I have leather pieces big enough for a shifter boot & brake boot, so I'd like to make some from leather. The brake boot I had is long gone. I suppose I could have taken a pattern from that. thx.

I'm in the middle of remounting the choke on my 240. Can anyone tell me if the coin tray has a metal "inside" or does the door slide open so that you put your coins directly into the depression in the centre console. Cheers!
