I need some new window winder handles for my zed, however not a single wrecker where I live has any zed parts. So what are some other common cars that have similar looking window winders with the same shaft type?

My heater/vent fan has started to provide me with unwanted "music" when activated. I am assuming that the fan bearing is shot. The obvious fix would be to replace the fan motor, but that is expensive. Is there any other fix that will work but not set me back $150 or so? Thanks

Greetings, all. My first post since acquiring a 1973 240z two weeks ago. I've been browsing the threads here and have learned alot. I stripped the interior of the car - no rust, thank goodness. I put down a layer of rust bullet paint on the floor boards and am now laying down Edead sound deadedning material. Is there any reason why I should not cover the large round holes on the inside door sills with the sound deadening material? Not sure what function these holes serve, but they appear to be covered anyway with vinyl upon completion. David

I need a seat track (rail ?) for my 1976 Z. Specifically, I need the driver's side, free sliding track (as opposed to the one with the adjustment handle and lock). I didn't think I would have any trouble finding one locally, but I was wrong. Can't find one anywhere. Any ideas or anyone have one they would be willing to sell? Thanks, Ken

I've seen the other clock topic but they were all for the Z, do I also disassemble my glove box to get to the clock? Is there like a place where I can take my car for them to fix it as I dont really want to damage or break something or should I just wait till i take it to the professional to restore/re-trim my interior somewhere near Brisbane area

I see a lot of people asking about subtle differences between the early cars and the later versions. The conversations about the other foriegn markets and home market development fascinate me. I am fortunate to have an early car with some peculiar pieces. For instance, ash trays. Very early ashtrays were molded in a dark grey plastic and painted black. The lid handle is solid and has an indent under the lip. My particular ashtray had no chrome screen inside, although a good arguement could be made it was broken off. My lid was also broken. Fortunately, the base has no burns. Through eBay and classifieds, I bought ashtrays and pieces and combined to make these two…

Anybody know if the 280ZX bucket's rails are compatable with the 240's? I Had my grubby little hands on a real nice parts car down at the local breakers. And I actually like the seats for my 240. Only the drivers had one small rip in the vinly. Put I was not sure if they would be a bolt in swap or would needs the rails swapped first. Or made up at the worst. Any one got any Facts on the matter? Thanx Frank.:devious:

I found the attached picture of a fully configured late model 240z fwd console panel. I am not sure exactly which country a fully configured panel is commonly found in. Most of the 240z vehicles in this age range that I have seen have only the black inserted plastic blanks or maybe one option(the demister switch). I thought it would make interesting viewing. What have you seen in your area. Steve:classic:

I heard of something called an SST fastener to fasten the door panels using screws to the doors on my 280Z. Can anybody tell me where you can get those fasteners and maybe a picture? thx.

I recently removed the heater box from my '71 (yes I did it with the dash in, not the easiest but, I did it)to find that the core was no good, now that I've gotten a new core I was thinking (yeah I know mistake #1!) I should renew the foam insulation that goes around the doors, flaps and, the foam that goes around the core itself. The only problem is I've yet to see a picture of exactly where the core foam goes and, what type of foam to use on the box. If anyone has rebuilt their heater box before and/or has some insight I'm all ears. P.S. I don't know if you guys know it or not but 32 degrees at 4:30 am without heat is getting a little old!....err or is that Friggin' COL…
