Sometime ago I have had my original clock rebuilt with a quartz unit. It work fine for some months. It has stopped working and sometimes it works for a day or so. What can I do to check it and fix the problem?

I've got a '73 240 Z produced in Oct. '72 and I've got several questions: - I've ordered a full dash cover from British Victoria. I ordered a '73 cover, but I'm not very impressed with the fit. Any chance I should have ordered a '72 cover based on the production date? This isn't the first time I've had the '72/'73 conundrum. - I need to remove the emergency flasher knob to install the cover. I can't find a set screw on this thing to save my life. I sure don't want to try the brute force method of pulling the knob off. - This a daily nice driver, so I don't want to go to hundreds of dollars and have the dash professionally recovered. Am I better off with the half cov…

My headlight switch burned this morning and melted my steering column cover. So I need to go looking for a new one. Does anyone know if the steering column covers are interchangable 70 through 73?

Who wants to play a little game with me? Its called PEDAL MANUFACTURING DATE BINGO and everybody who has an S30-series Z car is welcome to play. If you win, then you get a prize posted to you via Her Majesty's Royal Mail ( don't get too excited........ ) no matter where on this big old World you happen to live. The rules are set by ME ( you knew there had to be a catch, didn't you? ) but at least they are not biased to early or late, RHD or LHD or any other parameter. Just like real Bingo, this is a game of LUCK rather than skill or cunning ( unless you cheat ). Here's what you have to do. Get your head down inside your footwell ( watch out for the smell of doggy doos…

I recall previous discussions of people finding factory inspection papers hidden in various parts of the car. I just noticed a hand painted marking on my dash frame right where the steering column bolts up. I'm hoping this doesn't say "defective" or something like that. Who has the answer?

Am in the process of getting some replacement seat covers and was wondering if I should replace the padding? I think this is horse hair? I guess it is original? Will this stuff fall off when covers are removed? Nick

Hey fellow z people. I have decided to pull out my old dash (1972) to replace it with a better, but not much better, dash. In doing so I have come into a problem. it appears that not all of the wires are matching up. For the most part all of the wires from the old dash look like the wires from the new dash, but when I go to plug everything in I am running into problems. Most of the headache is coming from the center cluster that incorperates the fuse block. Does anyone have a good way to match up all of the plugs/wires. I know I should have labeled everything as it came out, but for some reason I thought the manufactures would have matched wires/plugs for each side…

Been looking but its hard to get a good answer. so lets go from here. I have a Z completely stripped of its interior, no carpet, no seats, no inner door panel, no nothing. What are some good things to do to sound/weather deaden the car. Someone on the Ga Z club said there is some stuff you can buy at napa, sounded like black stuff you cut to shapes then adhere on with a heat gun. What do you guys use to make the car sound more solid, and be a little more resistant to cold weather seeping in the thin metal floor boards? im having my doors redone right now so that the windows open/close easier and more correctly, and the door skinds replaced, and i figured he may know a …

I took out the heater components recently. In doing so I had to cut some hoses that had coolant in them. It looks like one carries the water in and one carries it out. If I just connect these two lines together (making a loop) will that take care of it or should I do something else? Thanks! Matt

Hello all, Has anyone used the Too Intense weather-strip kit? It less than the other kits I have seen from MSA, VB etc. Is there a reason? Is there a higher quality set out of the various companies who offer them? Thanks, Ryan

I am in need of the driver's side interior quarter panel in the original 72 red. I can find them in black for replacments, but really don't want to change the color of the entire interior to match. Tried vinyl die before, it tends to scratch if something touches it. anybody have a prts car with the right color? Devin aka 72240Z
