I just bought another 260 and the seats had pull over seat covers. Underneath were the vinyl type but with a suede type seat inset and also in the back support area. The rest of the seat fabric looks like my stock vinyl. My question is; was this aftermarket or original? This car is an automatic where my first one is a 4 speed. This one is getting sacrificed to the god of rust repair.

My drivers side seat has a tear on the seat. Whats the best way of replacing this? Can I just find another seat and remove the vinyl from it and install it onto mine, is it an easy thing to do? OR would it be better to find another drivers side seat and replace just the base of the seat. Thanks.

I just bought a set of 1995 Mazda Miata seats for my 240Z. Does anybody know of a good way to re-dye them? The color is dark enough that I could probably get away with then as is, but I would like to dye them jet-black. They are cloth. I guess I could search for Miata seat Upholstery kits, but I'm cheap :stupid:

Has anyone had any experience with Victoriabritish seat reupholstery kits. Such as, do they fit ok and are they similar in appearance to the original seats. I have a 260 whose seats are in need of repair. Regards, Geoff

Short time reader, first time poster... While replacing the carpet in my '73 z I found there are several holes in the floor pan that have rubber plugs that have pretty much rotted away. I think there are two on each pan sort of under your feet, one smaller one under each seat and then that one in the secret hiding place under the ash tray. Anyone know where I can get replacements for these? I don't find them in VB or motorsports catalogs. Thanks!

Ok, since I've had this car (about 3 1/2 years) it has had the same sized crack in the dash. You know, the infamous crack. Only my crack is but a fraction of most I have seen. Is there any way to stop it from spreading further? Help! I want to get on top of my crack before it becomes a problem.

I have a 74 260z that originally had a tan interior but has been swapped over to black. I'm not sure which year the new stuff came from or if all years were the same. I like it all except for the wood trim on the doors. It doesn't "fit in" IMO, so I wanna know if there's a way to take it off or cover it so that the area will just be black. If anyone's done this or has any info I would appreciate it, thanks in advance.

This forum looked lonely. But keeping on topic, I was and have been wondering if anyone has had any success or opinions of multi-colored interior dome lights. I believe red/green/blue/etc are all available and are a stright bulb swap. Obviously they will give out colored light, but is it easier on the eyes at night, for example, when reading a map. I mean, it works in a submarine; right?
