I have the https://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic08a02b/40-4525 and I put the headliner in just fine but I don’t get how to put in the pillar and roof rail parts. The vinyl sections seem overly wide. Does anyone have this kit and do and I need to trim it down? I also am not sure where or if I should be tucking it into something. I am also just guessing I should first glue down the padding then glue the vinyl to the padding. Any pictures would be great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Any idea where I can find the snaps that slide into the vinyl trim piece that goes over the rear wheel arch? I believe these are the same snaps that are used to hold the door card to the door metal. I attached a picture of the one remaining one I have. I can only seem to find plastic rivets for the hard plastic panels but not the snaps . Anyone have any ideas?

I have finally begun the interior replacement / installation on my 1973 240z. Is there an "approved" sequence for installing the interior pieces...? Also...I bought DynaMat sound deadener. My restoration is very detailed and I have spent lots of dollars trying to get it "right". Is it truly a "sin" to use the dynamat...? Thanks...Ryals

My seats 70 series one seem to be in good shape, but some what compressed. Is there a product out there that would make it possible for me to rebuild my seats, or should I leave this to a professional? Also, are there original carpet kits available ? This may be what I'm looking for:

Pretty same process so many other have done 1st - Green Scotch‑Brite Scrub till you don’t see the nasty brown soapy water. 2nd - Stained Red oak 2 coats. Minwax 70040444 Wood Finish Penetrating Stain. 2 light coats and waited 2 days before adding Varnish. 3rd - spar varnish spray - 4 coats maybe 5 Minwax 33250000 Helmsman Spar Urethane Aerosol, 11.5 ounce, Gloss Waited 3 days for it to cure before moving to the center section. 4 - Black semi gloss 3 coats Let it sit a day before removing tape and tee shirt protecting the varnish. The car that we are working on is a1973 240z. Door cards are in good shape but I need to clean and covert them from tan to black. There is a chrome strip 3-4 inches below the top of the door card. I am told that this accent is plastic. I do not want to replace the vinyl on the door card but would like to remove and replace the chrome strip. How does one go about removing this strip and not marring or destroying the vinyl. Thanks in advance for your assistance.

I have a 1973 240Z and the foam in my driver's seat was sagging and the fabric was worn and torn. I considered new foam and leather seat covers from Motorsports Auto; however, when I compared the cost, I decided to look for a seat swap. I found these S2000 seats locally on Craigslist. Previous owner had them installed in an Integra. After negotiations, I purchased the seats for $460 with a signed declaration from owner that the seats were not stolen (including his driver's license number). Seat Comparison: - S2000 seat mounting holes are further apart than 240Z seats - on this pic I have not yet bent back up the front part of the seat rails to straighten them - out…

Ok So I got tired of the very dim green dash and gauge lights for my 280z. I didnt see anyone on the forums so far doing this yet so I decided to take a crack at it. Gonna try and make this easy to follow and understand. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you too are tired of having to squint in at your gauges when driving at night, then you might want to also consider this. Just some basic info: Most production cars use wedge type bulbs for gauge lights that twist out of the back of the gauge. These wedge bulbs also usually have a type of plastic coa…

Hi guys, The interior door release lever on the drivers side is worn down and doesn't match the same black color of the door card. Any ideas on getting this back to the appropriate black color? Thanks!

I'm trying to get my 240 as close to original as practical. I have the wrong shift boot, and am offered replacements in both vinyl and leather, and with or without a boot lace at the top. Which came original on a Series 2 1971? Thanks
