Guys, My 72 Z does not have retractable shoulder seat belt straps, but instead has a "J" hook on the interior dog leg panel right below quarter glass. How does the shoulder strap attach to the "J" hook? Should there be an attachment on the shoulder strap that mates with the "J" hook? Or does the strap itself rest in the "J" hook? Thanks, David

I couldn't find a thread on this subject, so I started one. For the future reference of others who, like me, live in a area where obscure metric bolts and taps are difficult to find, the bolts for the seat belts on a 1971 240Z are a rather unusual size. They are M11 x 1.25. Some of the bolt holes had some dammaged threads. Bolts would go in just a little hard, but when they came back out the threads were rounded off. I tried the old trick of trying to clean the threads with a bolt by cutting a grove in the threads to make it look like a tap, but it didn't work. So I searched for most of the day for a local (Within a 50 mile radius) supplier of a tap in the size mentioned…

are these the seat spacers? when I removed the seats one spacer was on top of the seat bracket, the other was screwed under the nut and washer. can I put both spacers above the seat bracket to raise the seat? is that what it's for?

I am reconnecting my existing aftermarket (brand?) to an upgraded audio system. All hookups were disconnected over a yr. ago and I have no installation guide to refer back to. I am trying to remember which antenna toggle switch wires connect to factory blue, blue/red stripe and blue/white stripe wires. The toggle switch has six connection spades and three different color wires: red, green & black(antenna already grounded to body, near antenna so just leave black wire disconnected or make another body ground under console?) . **I will attempt attachment photos of toggle switch which is worth many, many words description.**. As simply described as 2-reds an…

I was completely shocked by an ebay seller lately that was selling the black plastic insert (called by Nissan as an escutcheon) behind the door handle. This seller was asking $130 for 1 right and $130 for 1 left. The part number was shown in the ad, so I went to NissanPartsDeal.com and searched for the part number. The site showed that it was available for $5.58 each for either right or left. Apparently, this part was being made again. Also MSA was selling for more reasonable $8.18. Also, I found the window crank available for $28.97 each plus shipping which MSA was selling at a reasonable $38.87 I wonder where we can find more parts number to sear…

Does any one know which type and size is the screw that goes accross the steering cover shroud and fastens here in the turn signal switch? My car is a 72.

Random question but what is the point of the rectangular hole in the back of the center console. I am putting in a new center console and never really figured it out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My driver's side door lock has been difficult to unlock since I acquired the car. The little arm attached to the lock cylinder that fits inside the locking mechanism in the door has way too much play and I had to jiggle the key back/forth forcefully to get it to unlock. While I had the door glass out, I cut a small piece of fuel line from an old weed-eater and slid it over the arm. It works so much better now. Easy to lock/unlock with very little force needed. I shot a little silicone lube on the outside of the hose to keep it from binding in there. Is good, yes?

What is the easiest way to remove these from the center console. I have 78 280z and want to take them all out to clean them and service them. I seems like they are stuck in there pretty good and I don’t want to break any plastic. I am referring to the row that contains the hazard switch/rear defroster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just installed the pair of Msa 3 point retractable seatbelts in my 1972 240z. There are okay and rub a little bit on the neck. I will keep the original ones as i would like to restore them. I did opened a hole in the carpet and jute as the gear look better over the carpet. Any recommendations?

Yesterday the window of my driver door in my 240z got shifted due to slamming the door to hard. I had to remove the window crank and panel and discovered that some bolts were missing. The original window regulator works fine but some bolts should be replaced. Are they available? Who sells the hardware?
