Hi Guys, I've decided to try and learn to repair the 72 model Hitachi Radio. KM-1520ZC however I cannot find this manual anywhere. I have 1 for TM-1081ZB(S) but not the 72 model radio. The radio powers up, has static but doesn't tune into anything. I have so far managed to repair the tuner needle which wasn't moving when the knob was being turned. Think that is resolved now but next up I need to determine why it won't tune into anything. Just stumbled across this guys videos and think it might be useful.

Hi guys, Just bought a 1973 with a re-done interior and center console in good shape. But there is an empty slot where the choke handle would normally be (car has triple Mikunis so previous owner probably just yanked it). Am out looking for Series 2 240Z choke assembly with handle and cables, wondering if anyone knows if the 260z choke assembly will also work - they look almost identical. Also, anyone know what is supposed to go over the holes to the right of the choke lever slot? Thanks

Hi everyone, My car didn't come with seat belts and I'm trying to install them now. If I may get some help trying to identify which one of these two of three bolts are used for the seat retractor (not shoulder), and which one goes on the tranny tunnel attachment point. Secondly where do I attach the two pieces of thin metal? Any pics would help. Thank you. Howard 1974 260z

Hey guys, my father gave me his '78 280z for my first car about 2 ago and i've always been able to go to my father with any issues. Although i figure i should learn how to work on the car without relying on my dad. Currently i'm looking to replace some of the bulbs on my gauges because the light blue/green ones that a are currently in there are so dim and/or broken that it's should ridiculous to attempt to see them at night. Anyone have any pictures/instructions on how to remove the gauges and where to buy bulbs? I've been seeing bulb kits online but i was more wondering if it were possible to buy bulbs at Walmart for instance or if they are proprietary? Thanks,…

Well I was driving around the other night, and low and behold, my ash tray door, just plain cracked in half. I should have never touched it. I do not and have never smoked, but I leave a spare fuse in there. NO idea why I wanted to 'look' at said fuse. But anyway, does anybody have a spare door that covers the ashtray? My cursory search has revealed that this may be a hard part to find....

Hi everyone: I used carpartsmanual.com to locate the part number/name for this plastic piece that the armrest chrome finisher attaches to and it doesn't list it. Does anyone know if this is possibly used on another Nissan model? What it is the name of the piece so I can try to locate it maybe on ebay? Thank you.

I need to replace all the red vinyl headliner, transmission tunnel and rest of the interior inside my 1972 240z once the painting is finished. The shop already replaced both floors, cleaned all the metal under and over, sprayed a layer of POR-15, Lizard Skin on top and car paint. Its now ready for the interior. Will this kit suffice: http://www.zcarsource.com/interior-vinyl-trim-kit-deluxe-240z-70-73-red-new_8_77916_197191.html Or should i buy some additional parts. I am still thinking on using the old jute material or not.

The topic of refurbishing the chrome lettering on the Z's dash features came up again today. I'd read several past posts by members, including those the recommended the use of the silver Sharpie pen. I tried this on the 'Datsun 240Z' logo plate for my glovebox door. While the results looked ok, it proved not to be very durable. As a matter of fact, the ink came off on the kleenex tissue that I'd wrapped the piece with for protection during storage. Maybe some clear acrylic would have helped. Just the same, I now had to start over. This time, I decided to try something different. I'd read about the chrome foil that scale modelers use for simulating chrome trim on p…

Finally got my hands on a signal seeker hitachi from a fairlady but when i powered it up, all i got was static. Pulled off the cover and discovered 3 diodes were toast. Toast as in crumbled into dust. I was unable to read the values and cannot find a schematic. I know it's a shot in the dark, but does anyone have one of these that can tell me what color bands are on the diodes? These are really hard to get, and with my luck, i probably have the only one in north america
