Can anyone recommend a shop that sells replacement gauges? I've looked at autometer, but I didn't know if someone out there sold a set specific for the Z. Thanks!

My 1971 240 only has one speaker in the left rear, the same mounting holes are on the right side but no speaker, also on the left there are wires in the wiring harness, none on the right. The knob behind the on/off volume knob seems to be balance. The previous owner had installed 4 speakers (2 on kick plates and 2 behind seats). I'm trying to get back to original. Can anyone help with this? Thanks in advance.

I just realized that MSA is selling replacement interior panels (perhaps they've been selling them for a while, but I never noticed). They're pricey, but I was wondering if anyone had ordered some and could comment on the quality of the parts? Also, if someone has ordered multiple panels, how consistent is the colour? http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/classic08j08/40-3634 http://www.thezstore.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TZS&Product_Code=40-3748 http://www.thezstore.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TZS&Product_Code=40-3507 http://www.thezstore.com/store/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=TZS&a…

Anyone know if the replacement seat foam for a 240 seat will also fit a 280 seat? I'm ordering a seat cover kit from Les Cannaday at Classic Datsun and need to replace the foam on the drivers seat. The foam they carry is only specified for 240 seats.

What do you guys use to treat/protect/clean interior plastic? Dash board, console, diamond pattern final, door panels, is it as easy as Armor All? Or is there some stuff that you have found that does a better job? Thanks, Eric

Hi, would anyone know where I can get a replacement dashboard vin tag? The PO sent out the dash to get recovered and I can't find the tag anywhere in the dozens of boxes. I have the other tags. Thanks!

I've been working on some AC and heater control and plumbing issues. I'm starting to re-attach some of the wiring, and I've hit a snag. I believe the control in the picture is the thermostat switch for the AC. It has two terminals. The harness pictured has a yellow and a "blue" wire. Can someone tell me if the yellow wire goes on the right or left terminal of the switch? The answer would be great. Some insight on how I could have figured it out would be even better. Thanks for the help.

The seats in my 78 are ripped and sagging. I have a towel over the driver's side bucket to keep from sticking to the duct tape the PO mended it with. I want to have them rebuilt/recovered properly but I can't afford it now. Are those cheap seat covers from the auto parts stores worth buying as a temporary solution? I thought of getting some fake sheepskin covers or maybe something made of neoprene so they don't slide around. Any recommendations?

Referring to '76 280z. After dash removal my auto body repair handed me 4 hoses that he thought I should replace. Makes sense because never replaced. Anyway, I'm having trouble finding them. Think I have read that braided would be preferred?? Where does one find these hoses, braided or not?? Thanks for response.

I think the armrests on the 78 aren't that nice, and I like a minimal amount of stuff, so I saw an auction for a door pull on eBay described as "1970 - 1978" so I wondered if it would actually fit on my 1978. I can get a measurement of the distance between the 2 main mounting screws if anyone can do the same on a 240Z door pull. After that all you'd haft to do is to cover the third hole.

I own 1976 280z and after 1 1/2 yrs into restoration I finally have the dash pulled. Are there other businesses out there that do the repair on cracked, etc dashes besides Just Dashes?? I know they are very expensive to have repaired but this is the direction I want to go. Had a dash cover years ago so will not go that route again. I'm here in MN and to my knowledge no one in this regional area to do work. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks-Deb
