I don't know anything about this company but I wish I had when I redid my interior, hard to beat the smell of leather. https://www.interior-innovations.com/index.php/welcome/product_detail/117

I recently purchased leather seat upholstery from Interior-Innovations and figured I would do a write up for any of you considering that route. First a picture of my old seat back. I'm pretty sure the interior was "updated" sometime in the 80's before I got the car. I considered both leather and vinyl but decided to go with leather hoping it will acquire charater over time. At $375 for the pair Interior-Innovations was affordable so I sent them an e-mail asking if they could send some scraps of leather so I could check the color. I got a response within 10 minutes of my e-mail stating that they just needed my address. The color swatches took about a week …

Hello everyone. I have race seats in my 1971 Datsun, and I like them fine, but they're a bit hard for a daily driver. I do have the original seats, and someone has already recovered them in fact! But, the seat (bottom) portion of the driver's seat has some long tears in it. Has anyone tried to repair vinyl before? Recommendations for products? The other 3 pieces are in excellent shape...so I hate buying a whole kit for this one piece. It's a daily driver, not a museum piece, so it doesn't have to be perfect. I was thinking of some kind of glue? Thanks in advance!

So here's my dilemma. I have a series one Datsun 240z that was made in 1970. I want to install better seatbelts while keeping the original seats and to the greatest extent possible avoid harnesses. I understand that MSA sells a retractable seat belt but that it requires some modification on an early year car. I'm trying to avoid ruining the Z or taking away from it's classic flare. Does anyone know how much modification must be done to install the MSA set or have any better ideas? Thank you all! Chris

What does the knob next to the front hatch opener do? Also what does the knob under the dash on the passenger side of the car do?

I purchased a set of sil plates for my 280Z. The seller said they were for a 260Z. He was selling odd parts he still had after selling his Zed. They look great, but they are also too long. I think, and almost certain they are for a 2+2 or maybe something else altogether. The length of the long sils is 845mm and I need 745mm. As far as I can tell there is no difference in length between the 240, 260 and 280Z coupes. Just want to check here before a buy another set from another seller. Thanks Chas

Hey mates So both my rear hatch seals - the two rubber things that go around the rear hatch - are leaking. I've replaced both in the past but at the top it seems that both have come off and ripped to the point where if it rains water drips into the Z rather regularly. So here's two questions. 1. Does anyone know a good source to get these from? I remember somewhere that you could use a weather seal out of a kia or something, is this true? Secondly, is there some kind of magical trick to get these things to stick? Thanks Jan

Does anyone happen to know what the three screws look like that are at the back of a 240Z console? Are they slotted or phillps? The PO of my car had only two screws there and they are different lengths so I don't think they are original. Was there a felt, soft or other washer under the screws? A ta p and die set seems to indicate they are 5MM at .8 pitch and the ones I have are slotted. Any info appreciated.

Anybody now where I might find the "window felt" that attaches to the inside top of the interior door panel? It's the felt that keeps scratches from forming on the inside glass. Thx

The 3 most annoying hoses in your Z. I know there are more complete posts out there on heater replacement. I am posting this to pass on a modern alternative to the braided hoses for the heater. Unless you are going to Consourse, this is an available replacement you can get today at Autozone. That's usually when I need them. Now! No parts store has anything listed for our old cars on this, you have to just eyeball them. Here are the stock numbers: Dayco A70785 Dayco B87653 Dayco B70873 This is on a 78 280Z, yours may be similar. They are 5/8 inch. Original Hose shot: There is a third hose you cannot see in this pic. Replacement Hoses From AZ. You will need …

Hey Folks, I was just curious if anyone had ever tried to modify a Q Logic kick panel speaker enclosure for the 240 Z... I could make my own... But I'm feeling a bit lazy, and I'm hoping I could just buy something pre-made, and just modify it to fit the car kick panel area.. Thanks
