Please bare in mind that this is my first Z project, as I test your patience with the crunchy new guy questions. I consider myself relatively intelligent, so if someone could quickly run through the steps of removing my dash, I would be greatful. Also, what is that strange (looks like dried battery acid) substance running down from under the dash, (passenger side)? The battery isn't located near the site of origin. In advance, THANK YOU!

I'm replacing all the rubber weatherstriping on my '76 280z. I purchased the kit from MSA and I have 2 items(one for each door) I will not be able to use: door window channel seal, top, 70-75 240z-260z-280z. This seal fits inside the front, top, and rear of the door window frame, and seals the window into the frame. It a reproduction by Precision and replaces Nissan part #80335-N3700. Could someone use these?? If so, let me know with PM.

I have a 1972 and the left rear interior plastic panel is missing. I have the right panel, but it is in pretty bad condition. I found two panels reportedly from a 260Z that are of a heavier and more durable plastic. The right panel fits just great, just like the original. I can't seem to get the left panel past the hatch support fitting, which cannot be removed. Does anyone know if the left 260Z panel will fit? I don't have an original panel to compare it to. If it will fit, is there a trick to fitting it? Thanks so much for your input, I don't want to break the panel or anything.

I have a working stock radio in my 73 240z along with a working power antenna in the rear. My question is, can I "splice" in another antenna (say a hidden unit under the dash cover) into the existing antenna? The goal of this would be to get good reception while leaving the power antenna retracted and when I wanted to, I could extend the antenna for giggles, and it would still be functional. Also, can I hook up an amplifier to the stock radio and push sound through two aftermarket speakers? How would the wiring go from radio to amp?

Am I missing something? I got new dog leg interior pieces from CDM and transferred the clips over but they don't stay. Is there a rubber 'cup' that goes in the holes before the pieces get put on?

Hey guys This afternoon I went to hang out with a good friend of mine. Parked the car and all was good. Came back to the car and found that the seat belt light - red - was on and the buzzer would make noise until I put my seatbelt on. Car started and drove just fine but the light never came off and no matter what I did - including turning the car off - the buzzer will be on with the seat belt off. Anyone have ideas on how this can be fixed? Thanks Jan

Stripped and silvered my mirror. It not perfect but it came out really nice for 40 year old glass. To be perfect, the glass must be perfect.

Does anyone know how much room(depth, ht, wt) is inside the rear side panels?? And are the factory speaker(s) behind those panels?? I want to install subs in that area on both sides. Will be using Retrosound receiver 2, 6x9" speakers installed in rear deck panel as well as 6.5" speakers installed in door panels. An amp will go under passenger seat. Thanks for response.

My Series I has its original blue interior including a blue headliner. Since bringing it to Florida last August, I've noticed the headliner is pulling back from the front trim panel. The headliner appears to be still attached to the roof (no sagging). It looks like the vinyl surface has shrunk exposing about 1/4"- 3/8" that was previously covered by the front trim panel. I haven't seen any replacement blue headliners from the normal Z vendors and may be no longer available. I don't know if there is enough spare material to remove it and re-position farther forward. Can these headliners be removed without destroying them? Or does anyone have a way to stretch the vinyl wit…

Refurbished luggage/cargo straps. Completely disassembled the straps, refinished the hardware with zinc plating. Dyed the straps black and hand stitched them back together.
