   Quick question about hatch strut

   I've searched around here, but have not found a good answer. I'm looking for a strut for the hatch on the 240z, is there any other struts out there that I could find like at a junkyard that would work with little modification? I thought we could use this thread to make a list of alternative resources that offer the parts we need for half the cost of repros. So far I have found that: -Kia Sportage (9?-00) door seals are a perfect match for the 240z door seals. -Acura Integra (93-00) hatch seals will work for the 240z hatch. Chase

   Hello, I need your help in locating a left side interior door panel for a 75 280Z. I have two door panels (L/R) for 78 but they don't work for a 75 door. I have tried to get touch with Roger at the Z Source no answers. Can any one help me? Thanks Carlos78Z

   restoring clear plastic guage covers

   I have my dash out of the car. I thought I'd take my gauges apart and try to clean the clear plastic guage covers. they had paint on them. alot of paint! they had minor scratches also. I tried "goof off" on a paper towel and it worked great. no damage to plastic. I also bought Meguiars plastx kit. it comes with buffer you put in your drill and microfiber cloth. works great also. I have like new guage covers. 71 Z. thanks, TimsZ

   Audio system, too big for doors?

   Hey guys, just finishing my paint job and Im thinking of putting a new audio system in. Im getting the Hertz MLK 165 for the front and Critical Mass RS69 for the rear backing by an Mcintosh MC440 amp. I was wondering if I can put the Hertz in the front doors (depth is 8cm and diameter is 16.8cm:tapemouth) a little bit too big for the doors I think, has anyone managed to put anything this big to their doors? If possible can you please post some pics.

   I have a question about locating speakers in my 240z. Originally (obviously) they only had the one speaker in the drivers side rear. The new interior plastic panels have speaker holes on the opposite site for a second speaker. Classic datsun has custom mounts for a speaker on that side as well. My question is.... Do you have to worry about fuel fumes on that side with a speaker on that side? Not knowing anything about speakers and the electrical circuits, I worry about a spark or something causing a fire or worse an explosion. I appreciate everyones help and patience with some of my questions. Thanks. Carl

    Horn button

    Does anyone know how to put back the horn button? I took it apart in haste and now can't remember how to put it back together. Does the spring go between the two metal rings or is it flush against the actual rubber circular horn.

    Adjusting Hood release Handle

    On a 280Z, Is there a way to adjust the amount the hood release handle sticks out? I want to put the lower left dash cover on and I can't get it behind the hood release handle. The vent knob sticks out far enough. thxZ
