I have spent hours looking to id a set of 5 slot mags. Tires are still on, but offset is about 2.5 inches and backspace is about 4.25. That makes the rim, i think, a 14x6. All it has stamped on the back in 08983 and an E. They are in great shape and I would like to know more about them. Jon

So, I found this ad for a set of Series II hubcaps on Houston's Craigslist and was wondering what y'all would pay for them. http://houston.craigslist.org/pts/532779330.html The seller sent me these pic's and while the fronts look to be in pretty good shape, the back of two caps have a considerable amount of surface rust.

I'm buying a new set of tires in Jan-Feb and am considering getting them online. Any experiences either positive or negative would be appreciated.

After an invigorating two days at Texas World Speedway, I came away with the desire to obtain a set of steel wheels upon which I'll mount some decent track rubber. My street Yokohamas were a tad slippery. And, no, no off-course excursions this time. Does anyone know where or from whom I might obtain a set of 4-bolt 15 x 7 steel wheels? Thanks for your recommendations. Regards,

OK.... Does anyone make 215/60/R14 tires anymore? Also known as 215/60/14 or P215/60/14 Trying to find a set for Ruby. They seem to have a vintage 70's Racer look and I suspect I know why. I know Goodyear used to make them cause it's on my front left wheel and the Futura GT's front right are the same size too, no telling how old they are though . But I went to Sears Tire to order this size and the Fine Indi Broad said Falken don't make them (N/A Discontinued) nor does Goodyear, BFG and jus about everybody else we tried. If anyone knows who stocks em please let me know as the 215/70/R14's on the back rims are UGLY ! ! ! ~Z~

Heloo, I was searcing the forum and found no direct answer in regards to this specific question for a 1977 280Z Trying to see if a 14x8 rim with a -13 offset clear the front wheel well without rubbing or the need for fender flares. Also how will they fit the rear. I used a tire calcutar on this website here http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp with the above demision with 14x7 Zero offset on 215/60/14 tires for the first wheel on left which is what I have on front. And compared them with 14x8 -13 offset on same tires for the second wheel to the right. Specs show my rims are 4 inch backspace aswell as the 14x8 -13's. But my rims are 7 inches wide and stick out 3 in…

I pulled a set of these wheels from a 72 240Z parts car. A web search turned up nothing. Anyone ever seen these before? They're made in Japan by Texas, named Bridgestone, and are marked 6-JJx14 15. That makes them 14x6 with a 15 mm offset the best I can figure. The center hole is 3". I think the first 300ZX center caps will snap right in. These weigh 14.5 lbs a piece. They remind me of Crager Thrust wheels. The five spoke is a nice touch. There is minor curb rash. It could be repaired or just polished to clean it up. I have no use for them as I'm converting to 5 lug wheels. So, what does anyone think they might be worth on the open market?

So I'm still sorting out/troubleshooting the car now that it's back on the road, and I think I'm having some braking issues... Basically, my car doesn't stop as well as I thought it would. Brakes engage at normal pedal height, but don't seem to want to brake hard and act "grippy." Pedal feel is good, not spongy. Car does not pull to the right or left on braking, and there's no shimmy, shaking or squealing. I just can't lock the brakes, and I think a panic stop for me would certainly involve hitting the object in front of me.:dead: I may have become used to 21st century braking systems, as my other car (BMW) seems to go 60-0 in 110 ft...The Z maybe 220 ft:eek: Here's …

I need new tires, and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions. I am thinking of getting Falken Ziex ZE-512 in a 205 60 14 all around. Im looking for a good handling tire with reasonable treadwear.

Couldn't find much searching. Found an incredible set of wheels at a good price. Fronts are 16x7 +13, rears are 16x8 +14 Any concern with the offset or width? I will likely run a 225/50 tire, I am not too nervous about rolling my fenders. Currently, I am on Eibach springs and Tokico struts (with plenty of room). You can view pictures here: http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?p=237803#post237803 I forsee myself moving to AZC coilovers in the next year or so. Anything here scare you? Should any of it scare me?
