After seeing what a set of Watanabes center caps went for on Ebay last night I started looking for alternatives. I think it was $131.00 or something close to that. Today, while wandering around in Princess Auto I spotted these plain jane stainless steel caps that I thought might fit. After a 30 second trim with my cutoff saw, they popped right on. A perfect fit. They might look a little cheesy now but I think with a set of stick on emblems they will be OK. And the price is right, 88 cents apiece. They have a slight taper, so they could be adapted to hub openings of + or - 2 3/4". If anyone would be interested in a set I'll be happy to pick them up.

How much are these wheels worth and are they desirable? They have the 1970's era tires which are in excellent condition and almost new thread (uniroyal tiger paws)

Tried to order the chromed plastic wheel hub covers from MSA but they informed me that although they still show them in their catalog they are out of stock and may never get them in. The ones I got have the chrome plateing coming off and look pretty bad. They are the ones that screw in with 4 screws. Any one know any other source? Thanks.

What's a fair price for a set of real American Racing 14x5.5 Libres, with no curb rash? I've spotted a set locally, and need to figure out how high I'm willing to go on price.

I inspected my brake shoes yesterday and the thickness was fine but the surfaces had several cracks. Drums were fine. Is this normal or is it a sign of over-heating ? I have done a couple of track days recently. Anything to worry about - should they be replaced ?

I don't know what I want to buy, because everytime I turnaround someone has got something diff. I just read an article that a guy had a 240 with 17 X9.5 inch rims with no upgrades other than I am assuming spacers. Is this a missprint everything in motorsport is a 7 inch rim. I like the look of the 16in pannasports, but for the same amount of money I could really get a nice tire/rim combo, I just don't know where the red tape is as far as how wide and tall I can go?? I haven't called motosport yet I'm sure they have some valuable info, just figured I would start here. Any information would be appreciated, applications that you have done that have worked successful ec…

One of my datsun's previous owners painted the wheels silver which looked ok for a while. While doing a toyota brake upgrade I noticed some chrome under the paint. Decided to soak the rims with aeresol paint remover and there were beautiful, new chrome rims underneath. I'm not huge on chrome rims but I'm liking the look on the z. Just like to share my excitement with you guys.

I've got a couple sets of wheels I'm putting up on Craigslist for $100 each. Thought I'd post them here if there was anyone in the Seattle area by chance looking for a set like either of these. 15x6 Mags. No curb rash, dents or dings, good condtion. Could use a good polishing job to shine them a bit. 14x6 Mesh wheels with offsets and center caps. No curb rash, dents or dings. Center caps are not in the greatest condition, but the wheels are in great shiny condition.

Seems that ever since I switched the front brakes of my '72 to the Toyota caliper upgrade (with the bleed valves above the brake fluid inlet) I have to push very hard on the brake pedal to stop. During this time I have also replaced the brake fluid two times, switched to S.S. brake lines, have removed the brake master cylinder and master vac (during a engine switch) and bleed the lines without a problem. I have a stiff brake pedal after bleeding but when I drive the car I need to push strongly on the pedal to get the car to stop. Never have to pump the pedal and the pedal never comes close to the floor. Seems most people say that after the Toyota switch thier stopping…
