New to me 280z, 1977. Stock height of car. No fender wall modifications. Current wheels: Panasport 15 x7 Current tire setup: 225/60/r15 Tire treads look like they don't have much life left. Seems 225 shoes may be a bit big for this wheel. Thoughts on getting another set of 225 vs tire set more appropriate (size 205)? Any tips or experiences with this particular wheel and tire combo is appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.

I’m on a work trip, presently sitting in a hotel in Nottingham, England. The country is on a extreme lockdown. Nothing is open and can’t dine in or out. So being trapped in my hotel room during the day my credit card burning in my pocket as I shop for stuff for the Z online. In the days of COVID it seems supplies are limited in many things, especially wheels and tires. Was looking at Konig Rewinds and Rota Rbr but it’s seems the wheel world is on back order in most places including MSA. Now I’m looking at tires,. Same problem on many tires I’m interested in, I wanted to see what tires you guys are running and feedback. Here are the ones I’m looking at…

I am interested to hear from anyone who has used a Rear Disc Brake Conversion Kit purchased from The Z Store. Was it an easy install? Did everything fit without alteration etc? In particular I would like to know about the handbrake. The website says "and the original emergency brake cable is retained (70-76 Z)" . How does the handbrake setup work? Once the calipers are installed, are the bleed nipples the right way up? The price is reasonable for a bolt in conversion. Any information is appreciated.

Hi, i am just wondering, what was the stock master vac fore 240Z from 1969 p to 1972? If you look at the z-stores in the us , they often write 7" .... in my car from 2/ 1971, i have a 6" and if you look at the Nissan spare parts list they write 6" You can not find any parts fore the 6" master vac in the US, so i surged in europe an fond a 6inch master vac an the parts that can be used with minor modifications. Why???

Hello everyone! I'm shopping for new tires this spring (my Z just turned 50) and I'm trying to decide between the three options available. The size is probably the limiting factor (225/45/R16) in choice. I've read everything there is online and even contacted TireRack directly. They suggested that the Dunlop ZIIIs will wear faster (that's OK with me) yet overall be the better tire. I have Dunlop "ZR" tires on it now, and I've been happy with them, but thought I'd ask this group to see what you think. I do not drive the car on the track very often anymore, it's mostly a daily that I zip around with. The link to the options at TireRack is here: https://www.tirerac…

I've installed new calipers, rear wheel cylinders, pads, shoes, drums, discs, rear brake hardware, braided stainless lines at all four corners, 8.5" brake booster, and 1" Wilwood master cylinder. No fluid seems to be moving! I started at the rear corners (checked both) and no fluid coming out when brakes are slowly pumped (by my son). I then moved directly to the bleeder ports on the Willwood master cylinder and no fluid coming out when brakes are slowly pumped. I can hear air movement in the booster. I unbolted the master cylinder and pulled it away from the booster just enough to see the rod and had my son barely press the brakes just to confirm that it is moving..…

Has anyone had a good result trying the Wildwood brake master cylinder? I have a 70 240Z with stock brakes and can't locate a Nissan or aftermarket master replacement new or rebuilt for that year. California Datsun is selling a Wildwood unit that has been modified, elongagted mounting holes to fit, adapters to convert lines to metric. It's a larger 1" bore too. Hoping this works and it would be great to hear if someone had good results. Need to buy their flexible lines to the distribution block or bend the old ones as the front and rear on this one is in reverse order to the stock unit.

What is the REAL difference between the OEM Nissan rear wheel cylinder that places like MSA, Z Car Source, and Z Car Depot sell for $260-325 and the aftermarket ones that these same places as well as others sell for $50-70? Is the OEM Nissan unit REALLY better? Better enough to command that much more money for them???
