I finally got the Konig Rewinds I ordered! I got the 15x7, '0' offset in silver. The tires I got with them are 205/60r15 Michelin Pilot Exalto directionals. The back of each rim says 15x7JJ and ET 0. I dont want to bother putting them on now, as Im moving at the end of the month and I dont want to risk getting them scuffed or snowy. The guy said that these tires are a touch wider than most, but that they are good tires. My question is, does anyone know if these tires will be a problem as in they are too wide or anything? I went to the website and found this info: Section Width on Measuring Rim Width: 8.4 on 6 Overall Diameter: 24.5 I just thought I'd ask while I ca…

I'm looking to the replace the old 4-screw chrome centercaps for the old dealer option slotted mags on the '72 (upper right on pic below). Motorsport has been out of them for quite some time and isn't sure when they will get some in. Does anyone know where else I can find a new set?

Just bought this set of tires off Ebay. I found a pretty good deal on them, so I jumped on it. I think I will store them in the back of our garage until the Federals on it right now where down a little more (2 or 3 thousand of left on them) and then put these new ones on it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&viewitem=&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D%2B190082192185%2B%26fvi%3D1&item=190082192185

I got the drums off today (not nearly as hard to do as I was expecting!) and found that they are way past the max OD spec. SO, looking at ebay and other sources online the cheapest I have found a drum and shoe set is about $200 after shipping. Then I'd like to atleast rebuild the wheel cylinders, replace the grungy corroded hardware, etc. So this is quickly adding up and I notice that the rear disk conversion is $420 but I'd need calipers. Anyone have any advice on which way I should go? Would I really get a lot of imporvement out of the disks? Would the benefit be worth the extra $200-$250? BTW, I got it running too and took it around teh block, what a hoot!

For a stock 1970 240Z, what is the maximum rim width (assuming 0â€ back-spacing) that will fit inside the rear wheel wells without rubbing on the fenders? I’d like to install 225x60x14â€ (or 205x60x15â€) tires on 5-slotted, dished, brushed aluminum rims (maintaining the original overall wheel diameter of 24.7â€ based on the stock 195x70x14â€ wheels). I’m not sure what the width of the stock rims is (5â€ to 7â€?) or what rim width to purchase for the new tires that won’t require trimming the fenders. I have located used 5-slotted rims in 7 1/2", and 8â€ widths (can’t find them in 5â€ to 7â€), but have been told that the wider ones will rub on the fenders…

The brakes on my 1980 280ZX have become very difficult to stop my car. Pedal is hard and all, but car won't stop quickly. Took it to my Nissan dealer, he says the brake fluid was black. He flushed the system, checked that the power system is working and O.K., the discs are O.K, checked that the calipers are all working, (pistons going in and out) but he says only one caliper is really working well and O.k., (will slide that tire, but he says the other 3 corners seem weak). He doesn't know what is wrong, he says maybe the master cylinder, the proportioning valve, bad brake hoses or ???? I checked the system diagrams and I don't see any proportioning valve, …

There are many Z's out there with the classic 5 slot aluminum wheel out there and I do like them. I have two sets in about equal condition. Both sets are 14x6 if that helps. One set is made by a company called Appliance with what appears to be a push through bullet shaped center cap that is rusty on the inside, but nice on the outside with a big A on the end of the cap. The other set has no center caps and has four small hole drilled and tapped around the center hub for what appears to be a screw on style cap. I know very little about the wheels themselves but they have writing on the back that says; Cal Shelby 500. The slots are a little different between the two s…

In the Black Dragon Auto mag, are the crossed-drilled disc brakes any good and worth the extra few dollars? I think $160 for a pair. Or should I just go with the standard brakes that Black Dragon offers? My friend told me to not get aftermarket cross-drilled brakes and they crack, and I was not sure if those brakes are aftermarket cross-drilled or not. Brakes are almost out and I found that out the hard way. :surprised

Hey All, Does anyone know if these are 17's on here, and what tire size they may be? I know that is a tough question to gauge from a pic bu I figured I'd take a stab at it. I am looking into 17's, and possibly 215/40/17 rubber... Thought's? Ideas? Thanks all...

Hey all, I am looking at the Konig 'Netz' 17x7 Wheel that is designed to fit the '72. This car is dropped about 1-2 inches from what I can tell. Are these gonna fit with no mods to clear the sheet metal, espically when working the car? I love the look of these... ~Brian
