I have been told that wheels from a 81-83 z will fit on my 1972 Z. Before ordering I wanted to know if this is true and if there is any aftermarket wheels available?

I just bought a 1973 240, but don't like the aftermarket wheels that are on it. It is a very original Z, save for the wheels and dash cap and I would like to put back on the original 14's.....I think. I haven't owned a 240 since 1982 so my aged brain can't remember much. First would you even go back to the 14's with hubcaps, or get something else. If I wanted the originals, do they make an oem type? if so where? Or if I go with a different wheel, what would be the best correct size for the rims? Where do you folks recommend buying wheels. I know these are newbie questions, and I did do a search, but didn't find anything. Thanks for any help.

I know this isn't rocket science, but I'm stumped. Here's the situation: - new 7/8" Tokico master cylinder (from Courtesy Nissan) - rebuilt brake booster (from MSA) - new shoes and drums - silicone brake fluid I mounted the MC on the car without bench bleeding, connected the brake lines, filled both reservoirs, and by pumping the brake was easily able to push fluid from the front reservoir through the MC front bleed valve. But could get no fluid through the MC rear bleed valve or to the rear line when I loosened it. Took the MC off the booster and placed (gently) in a bench vise. Using a steel punch (in place of the booster pushrod), was able to push fluid throu…

Here is a ZX brake boost & M.C. on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160052595089&ssPageName=MERC_VI_RSEE_Pr4_PcY_BID_Stores_IT&refitem=160052965485&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=active_view_item&usedrule1=UpSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget And I was interested in replacing my current booster & M.C. for some decent braking. The seller doesn't say what year it was from. My car is a 78 280Z thx

Hello everyone. I've got a question regarding brake calipers, and the rebuilding of them. My FRONT brakes have been squeeking for a little bit, so I know it's time for new pads. I pulled the wheels off the other day, and found that the calipers are sticking/stuck. They relax after a while, but harden up after driving, to the point of smoking (the smoking started today). I've searched the threads and gleaned much useful information, namely that it is indeed time to replace the hoses (cracked originals), and to use the appropriate flared wrenches. Also to keep fingers away from calipers when expelling them with pressurized air, if doing a rebuild. My question (finally) is…

I am currently running 265/50/14 BFG T/A radials with the rims as that is what came on them when I bought them. However the rubber is too small. Yes the classic Japanese rubber too small for the rim look is kinda cool I am looking for something that fits better. Does anybody know where I can find the proper size tire. Looking for something like 295 possibly. Hard to find here stateside I know. If some of our AUS members have options down their way I am not opposed to shipping prices or trades(L28et stuff)...

I have a 78 280z with aluminum wheels that are 14X7. I have 195x70 x 14 tires that I want to replace. Is there a larger size tires that I can use on these rims? I am consdiering a set of Michelin pilot exacto a/s tires that are HR rated. Does anyone have any experience with these tires?? If so, please give me your feedback. Thanks.

I am doing the Modern Motor Sports Toyota Vented caliper conversion. The MMS website says to use 89-95 Toyota 4WD pickup calipers or the 4/89-91 Toyota 4Runner calipers stamped S12W. Questions: Are these both for the V6 4x4 models? Does anyone have the correct p/n for Napa, Autozone, Kragen, Pep Boys or other parts stores? Thanks Miles
