or hubcaps if your prefer. Tip, take your wheel covers off and paint on your phone number. I was out driving yesterday, and when I got o my destination I was missing one of my wheel covers. I retraced by trip but it was like 30 miles and hard to search while driving. went back the next day with the boss and she found 4 hubcaps, all the wrong ones. they were leaning up on trees etc.. a guess that is the procedure when you find one. Anyway I had the idea too late to use this time, but will be doing it in the future (phone number on inside). I am keeping an eye open in ebay for a good condition one, there are some listed now but they are not as good as the spare I have …

Hey Guys, New guy question that I am sure is covered on the forum, but I am getting myself turned around: What is the best way to calibrate the speedometer/speed sensor on the 280z? Swapping out the stock wheels (195/70R14) for a larger set of rims on a lower profile tire (225/45R15). Change in tires/rims will result in about a 7% differential (83mph/90mph). Want to see if there is a good way to correct for this. Also, is there any difference in speedometer readings when swapping from a 4 speed to 5 speed (both out of late 70s 280z) assuming both were built to work with the same R200. Links are welcome!

I got a set of MTI TE37 knockoff wheels but they wont fit over the hub/spline in the front. I tried measuring and it looks like it's about 60MM on the wheels I have on the car now, does anyone know for sure what the measurement is?

Hello, I replaced the master cylinder because it leaked at where the booster strike the cylinder. What I have done: - bleed/flush the old fluid 3 times starting rear driver --> rear passenger --> front passenger --> front driver. Pressing on the brake pedal, I feel constant pressure from start to all the way depleted. I had my son press as hard as he can (10 years old). The brake seem to hold the tire, but if I try to turn the tires, I can still turn it. It is not supper hard to turn the tire. BTW, I'm 140lbs, average build and I don't think I'm that strong. what I notice is that if I block the brake check valve going to the m…

Hi guys. Hoping for some insight into what's going on with my left rear drum brake. So my car is a 7/72 build, right on the cusp when the brake system was updated. It has the older-style wheel cylinders (with the line coming off at an angle rather than perpendicular to the backing plate) BUT it has the newer-style brake line routing, with the proportioning valve in the engine bay: The older-style wheel cylinders are very hard to find replacements for, but I was able to find rebuild kits and rebuilt both. New steel drums and all hardware on both sides. The problem is that although I'm able to get fluid to come through the bleeding screws on all 3 of the…

I'm pretty sure my reaction disk has slipped, this is based on reseaching on the site. I have a question, Do I have to take the brake booster off to try and repair or can I attempt to fix with it still on the car. It's a 73 240

Anyone know the quality / brand of the MSA wheel bearings? Their price seems reasonable comparatively. Figured I'd do these too since I'm doing struts and bushings.

Any one here have the Toyota solid rotor S12+8 caliper set up on their 240Z? Do you like them? I finished the install on mine. Going to try them out. Should be back on the ground soon. Removed the backing plates instead of trimming. Need to finish the bleeding.

Ok, I have a front suspension from a donor car that I have had for over 20 years. Taking it apart, and I noticed the rotors are original. Should I keep these old rusted rotors for any reason? I know there are a ton of aftermarket rotors, but does Nissan even sell them anymore? Would the original rotors make any difference to someone restoring to original? Hate to just recycle them if they have some use ...... Any thoughts

Looking for a set of 70mm Epsilon Southern Ways center caps, either OEM or reproduction. I found a post here on the site that indicated someone (69clark) was re-producing the caps, but after sending a PM and not hearing back I thought I'd post it here. Thanks!

Recently picked up a set of Epsilon 3-piece wheels. They're in great condition but I will be re-finishing the centers and buffing the barrels up. I'm considering having the centers powder-coated rather than painted. Thoughts? Recommendations?
