Hi everyone, i am just in the process of buying some holden commodore fronts and 280zx rear brakes for my car. i have the toyota 4x4 4 spot pistons on the front, slotted rotors, with ebc green pads, and some super dooper race pads with about 70% material left. I AM NOT SELLING THIS NOW, but what i am interested in is about how much i might be able to get for them if i sell them. i know it sounds cheap, but i am on a tight budget and was just curious as to how much they might fetch. Cheers, Tom.

Hey folks, Just got done redoing the rear brakes on my 1972, and the shoes on the driver's side bind on the drum. The binding is not so bad that the wheel won't turn, it just doesn't spin more than 1/3 revolution (passenger side will spin 2 times by comparison. Struts are not mounted yet, and new rear wheel cylinder adjusting wheel is fully screwed in on both sides. Am I missing something? Will this issues be resolved by e-brake adjustment, rear wheel adjusting/proportion valves, etc? Any thoughts are appreciated... Here is a pic: Thanks, Steve

Anyone ever use this? I've done it the old fashion way but don't want to go to all of the work. My parts car came with a nice set of 5 slot mags and the more I look at them the more I like them, of course they are 30 years old and look it. Anyway the Eastwood kit looks like the way to go, any opinions?

I know the Z32 uses a 1 1/16" master cylinder. It will not fit the Z. Does anyone know of a ZABCO-type cylinder that will fit a Z that is extra large? 1" or larger? I need more fluid travel! :cheeky:

Hi All, Pretty new to the Z, and am LOVING my car. I've trolled the archives and read many posts on the wheel/tire topic, but am still trying to figure out what size replacement wheels/tires would be best on my 77 280Z with poly bushings and Tokiko struts but otherwise stock suspension. My tires need replacing which is what has me thinking about replacing the wheels as well. I drive a fast, windy mountain road on my commute (lucky me!), and it rains quite a lot 3-4 months of the year. Concerns I've identified in my reading are: - handling - wheel rubbing - hydroplaning - forgiveness for potholes, etc Your suggestions and input would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Dan

Hello everyone, If you are looking for for a set of Watanabes or just a classic wheel for your S30 at a great price, get these! This is an absolute steel at 350USD + whichever for shipping, even considering the condition. These have a nice offset that looks great on S30's. Take a look at Guus's (screenname=zpoint) 240z Rally car replica because he has the same spec wheels. They are type B and the offset is +14.5mm. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/JDM-Watanabe-AE86-Corolla-240z-Datsun-510-240sx-4ag-L28_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ43954QQitemZ8011482557QQrdZ1 We need more Z's outside Japan with Watanabe's. Snatch these ones. -Ben p.s. The seller seems far from…

I have installed '94 Corvette calipers/rotors on my '71 Z. I have put in a larger MC, a 15/16". The brakes work very well and really stop with very little pressure. The problem I am having is long pedal travel. The pedal goes very near the floor before the brakes work. It does not help to pump them up. They do not pump up. They work well on the first stroke so there is not air in the lines. What is going on? It feels like I have too much travel in the pedal.

Thanks to the recent wheel and tire upgrade by 240ztt I was also in the search for more cowbell for my '77 280Z. I had purchased a set of Enkei type 92 16x7 wheels for the '77 280Z. The wheels were in 'as new' condition and had never been installed on a car from the previous owner. He had purchased the wheels for his 240Z and never got around to having them installed and sold them. I figured they would go well with the new set of Bilstein struts that I had sourced about six months ago. I ordered the tires and had them installed on the wheels only to find that the bolt pattern was incorrect! I then set about to research the wheelspacer subject and after stumbling across …

Was talking with FMSI (FMSIinc.com) today regarding some 3/16" brake line steel tube nuts (Item #3043 3/16" 10mm x 1.0 Japanese) . They said they only sold to jobbers and parts stores and in bulk. They did however turn me on to the "Only" distributor for FMSI in the USA. Guys name is Kevin at (814) 362-3221. Owns 3-4 parts stores (Autopartmart is the name I think) I talked with him for a little bit and he stated that you could order whatever quantity you want. (I.E. - No bulk order requirements) So if anyone wants to make up their own brake lines here's a source for the tube nuts... webdawg1
