Im looking for wheels for my z and I found these... I was wondering what you think and if they will fit. I would really like to get wide wheels so the 10 inch would be awesome. Also does anyone know the quality of these? 14x6.5 Polished 4 on 4.25/4.5 -6 mm 3 7/16 3121-09 1580 lbs. 19 lbs. 14x6.5 Polished 5 on 4.5/4.75 -6 mm 3 7/16 3121-09 1580 lbs. 19 lbs. 15x10 Polished 4 on 4.25/4.5 -45 mm 3 11/16 3121-09 1580 lbs. 27 lbs. 15x10 Polished 5 on 4.5/4.75 -45 mm 3 11/16 3121-09 1580 lbs. 27 lbs. 15x10 Polished 6 on 5.5 -45 mm 3 11/16 3121-09 1580 lbs. 27 lbs. 15x7 Polished 4 on 4.25/4.5 0 mm 4 3121-09 1580 lbs. 20 lbs. 15x7 Polished 5 on 4.5/4.75 0 mm 4 3121-…

Hey guys, I have an aesthetic question for you now... I'm painting my '77 280z Daytona Blue (350z) color. Im going with 16" panasports from MSA, but i cant decide between black or the gold with polished lip. What to do? I know its my decision in the long run, but I am really, really torn. The black would match the CF hood I plan on adding later, but the gold has a real distinct look. Whatchoo guys think? :ogre:

I haven't been into Z drums in a long time, but my brother-in-law is trying to sort his car out. He has a 240 and he needs new wheel cylinders. IIRC the 240 has one piston in the wheel cylinder and the 280 has two pistons. Also it seems that the 280 wheel cylinder is about 1/2 the cost of the 240 wheel cylinder. So can the 280 cylinder just plug right in? Are there other differences in the brake shoes or spring arrangements that need to be modified or changed? I think the front calipers are identical so I wouldn't anticipate any changes in brake bias or any of that...

I'm thinking of putting either Panasport or Konig Rewinds on my '73. I've seen several sites list the 7" wide versions (both 15 and 16" diameter) as having a 4" backspace and zero offset. I was thinking a little about this and believe that can't be true! Check out the drawing I grabbed from the Yokohama website. As I understand it, if the back space of a 7" rim is really 4", then the offset would have to be + 0.5" or roughly 12 mm. Alternatively, if the offset is really zero, then the backspace would have to be 3.5". Would anyone who has a set mind measuring the backspace? I realize measuring offset isn't as easy

Ok, so I'm working on the front suspenion currently. I've got the calipers off and apart so I can rebuild and paint them. Without thinking I seperated the halves of the calipers, then later reading in Wick's book, I realized that what I just did is undesireable. He says its best not to break the internal fluid seal between the halves. So now that they are apart what should I do to reseal it? I was thinking it may be possible for them to be resealed just by attaching the caliper halves back together, but this is the kind of thing I want to be sure about, make sure it is done correctly. Any help is appreciated to expedite my Z restoration.

Anyone? I've seen "green" referenced as the OEM color on the 510s calipers wondered if that was consistent across all models at the time... :sleepy:
