OK, they're actually slightly used (3500 miles) 15x7 Panasports, with 215x60x15 Bridgestone Potenza RE950s, that I got as a package from Les at Classic Datsun Motorsports. http://home.comcast.net/~r.long2/Img/240Z_1.jpg A few questions for the forum: - Anyone have any comments about these tires? - I torqued the wheels to 70 lbs, does that sound OK - I set the tire pressure to 30 lbs, suggestions? Thanks...Robert

Ok. well im not sure if this is a bad thing but when i apply the brakes the front tires get hard to turn, and the only way to get them to spin freely again is to take a screw driver and pull them a part. Is this ok, im not sure, im not a car guy. If this is not good then can you tell me what i need to do. Thank you.

I have a set of MM Z to Honda adapters I purchased months back. Well, I just got around to swapping the wheels off my 94 Honda Accord to my 71 Z. The problem is the bolt patterns are apparently the same. I was always under the impression that Honda wheels were 4x100. My Honda appears to be 4x114.3(?). Has anyone else run into this problem? I need a set of +40mm spacers but indentical wheel pattern as my Z. I've E-mailed Ross in hopes of some resolution but I fear I'm out that $200+ and will need to locate another set of spacers.

For those of you with a sense of humor.... I am able to get a set of '5-slotted, mags' rims, size is 13x5.5, bolt pattern is 4 on 4.50, backspacing is right @ 3.5". The rims that are now on my car are what I thought were 14s but the tires that are on them are 195/70R13, so I guess I have 13s for rims (but again, not too sure). Can anyone point the way to a website or person that might be able to tell me what size(s) tires can fit on the 'Shelby' wheels, or even if these rims can fit on my car (stock '70 240Z)? Plus there is actually nothing wrong with the rims that are presently on my car, and the tires have less than 100 miles on them (because I've been FIXING the car's…

Tire Size? 1 2 3

I know it's a topic that has been touched on before but I have not found what I am looking for using the search. Here's what I've got... '72 240Z all stock. I have a set of aluminum ZX 6 spoke 14x6 wheels. I have seen a set of 215 60's and 205 60's on a 240 but I would like to know if anyone has tried a 205 70 r14. If so, do you have any pictures? I am afraid that the tire will look too tall on the car but the speedometer will be extremely close to accurate if I go with the size. I plan on purchasing a set of Yokohama Avid T4's for these rim's but I am reluctant about which size to purchase. Any tips, comments or concerns would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nate

My 18 year old son and I have about 5 complete sets of Z wheel covers that we are currently restoring. We have 3 sets of the older and harder to find Series I or "D" covers and a couple sets of the more common "Z" wheel covers. All 5 of the sets need to be repainted. Does anyone know what the correct paint colors are for each of these?

Guys here are a few pic of my new mags on another members 72 240z (thanks Glenn). Mags are Compomotive ML (made in the UK) 15x7 -6 offset with 205/55/15 on the front and 15x8 -12 offset with 225/50/15 on the rear. My car is still in bits so Glenn was kind enough to let me put these on his car so I could see how the look. My car has custom steel flares so I was looking for how they fit on stock guards/fenders. So from this I think might be looking to sell the 2 15x7 (fronts) and get another 2 15x8, same as the rears, for the fronts as my flares will be big enough to handle the 8s.

Looking to get a set of inexpensive (read: cheap) chrome steel wheels for the Z. Just a little something until I decide to drop the money on a set of Panasports. Back in High School I bought a set of wheels from Summit for like $40-$45 each. I'd actually like the same set but in Z size, but they don't seem to carry them anymore. I can't remember the brand or model name either. These were a simulated 2 piece wheel chrome steel wheel with 5 triangle holes. If anybody knows where to get a cheap set of chrome wheels let me know. Thanks Nate

Hello, Im a new Z (1973Z ) owner While driving it home I had the rear brake line snap, soI decided to have it towed home + the front brakes were a bit sketchy for freeway traffic, Im guessig this is because the car was stagnant for a bit over a year I was told (feels more like 2) and had not been started in at lest 6 months-1 year. Well I got home home and the tried to bleed to brakes to see if the system worked. there was almost no fluid coming out of the purge valve and the brakes had no resistance whatsoever. I fugured it had to be the master cylinder was shot so I got lucky and found a OEM replacement (rebuilt) I installed it, and attempted to bleed the system aga…
