Hi All, I've just been nosying around Wilwoods website and came across some kits they make that include a small drum brake that works within the rotor hat. http://www.wilwood.org/catalogs/brakekit/group10.pdf These look like a fantastic idea but of course they don't make them for Zs, how much pressure do you think Wilwood would need to make something suitable for a Z or am I just living in a happy dream world - again?!!! Cheers. Rob

I installed new rotors and new pads on my 240z and I have a lot of brake squeal. Is there a way I can fix the problem? I used the Permatex product. Thanks Richard

Hey guys, just need your help tryn to find just *one* wheel, it's a Western Hurricane wheel. Should be a 14" wheel, and has 15 spokes/veins When driving in the snow some stupid SUV ran me off the road because he wasn't looking, my car is fine, but one of my wheels broke! It's drivable, but I would LOVE to find a new one that's not broke! This is what it looks like :

Will a 79 ZX MC and booster work with stock brakes on a 72 240Z? The reason I am asking is that I am planning to upgrade to Toyota calipers and vented rotors on the front and a disk set up on the back. My stock MC is failing so I thought I would just install the ZX MC and booster now. It is my understanding that the ZX booster will work, but has to be mounted upside down. Thanks Miles

I was wondering how many clicks your emergency brake makes before it is fully engaged. Sit in the drivers seat, pull up slowly counting clicks. When you can't pull anymore your there.

Hey maby someone can help me out. The rear brakes on my 72 are gone completely. The car has new rear calipers on but smething aint right. When I hit the brakes it pushes the front wheels. The back wheels just keep going. When i moved it around the yard earleir I put it in reverse and held my foot on the brakes as hard as I could and it drug the front wheels and span the back. Ive but new preportion valve on and that helped for a while but now its back the way it was. I blead them out about 10 times and nothings changed. I havent had the chance to tear into them as it is about 25 degrees outside. Can anyone give me any ideas on where to start? Thanks Bill

Just wanted to know if anyone has successfully fabricated wheel adaptors for thier 240Z, converting to a Honda 4x100 patern? I have a friend who teaches at a local community college in nead of projects due to the rising cost of materials, and a tight budget. (CNC machining is available as well, if that may be the correct path to take?) This in turn gives the students an interesting learning experience and myself one step closer to starting another phase of the ever growing list of modifications I have in the works for my 73' 240Z. If anyone would have specific information dealing with dimensions, ect... it would be truly appreciated. I can be reached at j_wilgosh@hotmail.…

Hi Everyone, I did a search and still have a few questions. Is there a ride quality difference between the 15 and 16 inch wheels? (Still have the 14's on my car so curious how much of my luxurious ride quality I will lose! ) Is there a potential for rubbing with the 16 inch panasports and stock suspension? I spoke to a guy with them and he wishes he had bought the 15 inch wheels. If I go with 15 inch, should I get the 15x7 or 15x6? Is there anywhere to buy them other than MSA? I think they are always marked up so much on their items even though I order quite a bit from them. (Just not a 1000 dollars worth of rims!) I just dont want to order one and wish I had orde…

What's size were the tires that came on the '70 240Z from the factory? I think mine may be the OEM size, 175SR 14 Toyo Z (no aspect ratio listed on the side wall). They look skinny. The tires are old but only have a couple hundred miles on them, I have the tire warranty listing the mileage on the car when they were installed. Who sells custom rims that would fit those tires? The rims have to look like they belong on a 34-year-old Z car. I'm sort of torn because I have Z hubcaps on the car but they are not the correct ones, they have a "Z" in the center, not a "D". I think "D" hub caps would be out of my budget, especially since seeing that set that went for $1,200+ …
