Anyone here have any experience with the Eagle 028 wheel? I am also looking at Centerline Autodrag, Star, ET and Telstar model wheels, but they evidently have to be custom made as I can find no shop that sells them with the correct bolt pattern, offset etc for my 72 240Z. The Eagle 028 comes off the shelf 15 x 7, 4 x 4.5 bolt circle and 4 in. back spacing which should fit with no problems. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Miles

I'm living in Japan until next June and I want to get a set of Watanabe's to take back with me. What size/dimensions should I look for? My Z has Koni's and street springs so it's lowered about an inch or so from stock.

After removing the m/c in my '72 240, I noticed what looked like white lithium grease inside the booster (where the m/c attaches). Do I need to lube the inside of the booster before putting in the new m/c? with what? How clean should the booster interior be? thanks for the help Bill

Hey all I am looking at a set of wheels and they are 4 on 4.5 and the size is 15x6 with a +10 offset. Any ideal how these might look and if would have any fitment issues? If anyone has anything similar to this size what tire might I be able to get on it without rubbing? I was thinking a 205/60 or maybe a 215 /55 . Wasn't sure. Thanks

'70 240Z... I’m having trouble removing the rubber brake hoses. I sprayed some WD40 on the fittings and put a 10mm wrench on the fitting on the metal tubing side. The nut fitting is starting to round off so I stopped. Do you have any tricks or do I just grab it with a pair of visegrips? Thanks

I'm working on my entire brake system(new master cylinder, check valve, booster hoses, etc,) just about everything except the booster and hard lines. Someone had mentioned that since the car's so old and sitting for some time, I may want to clean out the hard brake lines and to put some "de-natured" alcohol into the lines, let them sit, then blow them out with air, via compressor. Has anyone done this before? Where can I get this type of alcohol? Should I use something else? thanks, Bill

Advice needed. When I got my 280Z, it had ARE wheels on it, and those required about a 3/8" spacer with them to clear the spring on the inside. Whoever installed the wheels and spacers also installed longer wheel studs to get the job done. However, those studs look like they might be a little short. See the pics attached, where the nut doesn't quite catch all its threads on the studs when tightened down. So, does it look to anyone like this is an unsafe configuration? I am currently rebuilding a spare 280Z front suspension (tie rods, ball joints, bushings, shocks, springs, wheel bearings, paint, etc.), so now would be a very good time to get longer studs. If that w…

In October I am headed for Road America for a lapping day event. I am pretty stoked about that. RA can be pretty tuff on a car, so I am thinking of getting more agressive shoes for the stock drums. The front is in great shape. I just completed the Toyota 4 piston, vented rotor, with SS lines all around, a few months ago. I am running Axxis ceramic pads in front. I will need shoes that can be driven on the street as well as the track. Any recommendations? TIA, Marty

1. Today I took off a front wheel just to see how my new wheels would fit and I put the wheel on and there were no clearance problems, but the inside of the spokes are about 1mm away from the caliper. Is this unsafe? 2. The brakes are stock as far as I know so I would think this would not be a problem since many people have Watanabe's on their Z's. However, I could be wrong about the brakes being stock. The calipers are red. That is not how they came is it? It says Sumimito on the caliper. I am just a little paranoid. Thanks in advance, Ben
