Any one here have the Toyota solid rotor S12+8 caliper set up on their 240Z? Do you like them? I finished the install on mine. Going to try them out. Should be back on the ground soon. Removed the backing plates instead of trimming. Need to finish the bleeding.

My neighbor has a set of 1972 240Z wheel covers (hubcaps) that he is looking to sell. His wheels were sold out from under him, so he doesn't need the hubcaps anymore. They are in decent shape, only one small dent that can be hammered out. Any ideas on valuation? Thanks!

Hi all. I have a set of snowflakes, but have no idea what they are worth. I was going to use them, but have decided to go with 16's instead. Any help is appreciated! Curtis

Just out of curiousity, what are the value of the 77-78 Nissan "mags"? Lets just say for sake of argument that they are in sitting in somebody's backyard for the past 20 years condition without the emblems (actually have no idea of condition). Also for a set of the 14" 5 slot wheels as well. Currently I have the set of 5 slots on the 71 240z I picked up the other weekend (parting out since it is about all it is worth) and the 77-78 wheels are another parts car I may be picking up if I can get rid of enough stuff. I do also realize that value for something like this does get down to more of what somebody who wants them is willing to pay, so reasonable price ranges that yal…

I've inherited a '74 260 and am in the process of getting it back on the road after about a 10 year hiatus. It won't be a track car, just one that will see some spirited street driving. I want vented rotors on the front, but I don't see a reason to put discs on the back. I vintage race a '65 Mustang and have to run a disc/drum combination, so I know that drum rears can provide all the braking that I'll need. If I upgrade to Toyota 4 pots in the front with vented rotors, will I need to fit the car with an adjustable brake bias or will the stock valve be sufficient? I'm planning on putting a 280zx master cylinder on it. Thanks in advance for the help.

Hello to all, my plan is to upgrade my front caliper. Only which one should I order for street use ? I use allready the biggest brake booster. Is it possible to use the vented caliper with standard non vented disk ?. Than I will be open for the future. If not, I would go for the non vented caliper's. Thanks for you feedback in advance. I just picked up a set of the wheels that I can not find any information on. I know they were purchased in the early 80's in Japan by a U. S. serviceman and I was told by the seller that they were vintage even then. I have searched every jdm wheels database I could find, but am not any closer to identification. I know they are jdm / almex and the size is 4 X 114.3 X 5.5 and that they were manufactured by the Yokohama Rubber Company. Beyond that I have very little else to go on. I absolutely love the look of these. They will likely end up on my Roadster. The seller had them on a Fairlady Z at one point. the only other casting marks are "YSE455-1" and the size includes a "J…

Hello Classic Zer's, I have the big brake kit on one of my race cars. Actually a car we're going to run this coming week at Sebring. I have fairly violent shaking through the steering wheel under braking. 1. Although the rotors were new, I had them turned to see if this would help the issue. Issue remains the same. 2. We have tried different sets of balanced tires. I suspect possibly a geometry issue up front. Has anyone ever run across this? Greg Ira

I am looking at buying some slotted mag wheels from a seller on the DPAN FB page. He has provided the pictures below and has said they are 15x7. It has always been my understanding and various wheel sites have shown that the true diameter of a wheel is the measurement of the rim itself. Basically the wheel minus the raised lips for the tire bead or to look at it another way, the diameter of the hole of the tire that will fit on the wheel. He shows an overall 15.25" diameter with a lip height of .75". The math would work out to .75 X 2 = 1.5. 15.25 - 1.5 = 14.75. When I measure the 14 x 5.5 wheels currently on my 240z, they have an edge to edge measurement of 15…

Not exactly "free to a good home", but close. I have some vintage parts from a 1972 240Z that I am replacing with upgrades. Recently bought a very solid Z (HLS30-53473) from the original owner who took very good care of the car. I would prefer that these parts go to somone doing a restoration or wanting a vintage look. I have: Five original 14 x 5" steel wheels that were on the car about an hour before the original owner replaced them with slotted disc mags. Excellent condition, as new. Wheel from the spare doesn't even have hubcap marks. No hubcaps, unfortunately. Five vintage 14 x 6" US Indy slotted disc alloy wheels purchased 12/30/71 for $211.54 (I have the r…
