My 240Z has the stock hubcaps. I think they look cool and want to keep them on the car, at least for now. Besides, I really don't have the cash for custom wheels. However, I heard the problem with them is they fall off readily. Is this so? And is there a way from avoiding this from happening? :alien: :alien: :alien: :alien:

I am running a 280z booster in my 72 240 and it needs replacing. Is there an upside or downside to using this slightly larger booster on a stock 240. If its better I'll get another 280 booster, if not I'll go back to standard. Oh, Im also using 280z mastercylinder.

Due to confusion I am starting my brake problem over. Anyone know if this an old style Master Cylinder? My Z is a 72 but from everything I can gather I have a 70-71 MC. If so I have to order the really outragously priced MC or is there a way to convert to the older Master Cylinder? I bought a rebuilt MC for a 72-76 and it did not work at all, pedal went straight to the floor no matter what I did to bleed it.

The rear drums are stuck. I sprayed a whole can of wd-40 and let it sit over night. I banged on them with a 10lb hammer and a wood block for 4 1/2 hours; wont budge. I would hate to set a torch to them. Is there some type of chemical I could use to take these off. Mc

Currently my 260Z has 14x7's front and rear, 225's up back and 205's up front. I haven't really push the car much yet (it wasn't on the road for long and suspension was rooted....and sh*t tires) but it did seem to under steer when I did push it. What sort of tire widths front and rear do people generally run on zeds? How wide can you go on the front without rubbing in the guards? Thanks

I want to upgrade to a pair of 16 inch wheels. The wheels I am looking at have a 40 offset and 7inch wide. Does anyone have a similar setup? I am concerned that I would have rubbing. I have a 240Z with Tokico springs and Alumina shocks. Any advise would be apreciated. Mark

I really like the dish on these wheels, but he does not know the offset. The lip is about 2" on the rear wheels and 1" on the front. Any opinions on wether these would look good/bad on my Z? Is the offset okay? I think it is, but I would like a second opinion. Thanks, Ben http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=33741&item=2442084238

I have a 70 240Z and am looking for rims. I have Tokico springs and Alumina shocks installed. I am looking at a pair of 16x7 rims with 40 offset. Do you think these would fit without any rubbing issues. Body is stock. What size tires do you recommed. Thanks for any advise you guys can provide. Mark

I cant seem to decide which rim/tire size is better for autocross - 16 or 17. My feeling is that the 17" will not have enough sidewall flex and will actually provide less traction. Am I totally wrong?? My suspension is tokiko illuminas w/ tokiko springs, energy susp bushings all around & rear swaybar. Any suggestions?? Any good places to get rims / tires?? Thanks a million!!

01978 280Z: I would like to replace my worn rotors with some vented ones (Not the slotted ones). Can you get those? Is there an alternative source to the standard solid rotors? Also, would it be better to rebuild the master brake cylinder or just get a new one? brakes are wimpy on the first pump, but hard on the second one. thx.
