OK I have searched a few web sites but I still can't find exactly what I am after. I want to put the Toyota 4 spot with vented disks on the front and a 1982 280zx setup on the rear instead of the drums. I have a complete 1982 280zx to steal stuff from, so I can get rear discs and calipers and master cylinder/booster if needed. I would also like to use the handbrake cable off the 280zx because my 240Z one has snapped clean. Making up any brackets/spacers won't be a problem. Is the backing plate detailed in the IZCC 240sx brake upgrade the same as the one I will need? I am not sure of the similarities between these as we don't have 240sx's over here. What Australian cars…

Those of you with aftermarket front (big) brakes which required some kind of a caliper spacer to bolt on to the front spindle, can you tell me what that spacer was made of? Steel or Aluminum? -e

On my 73 240, I'm getting ready to replace the front brake pads, and possibly rear shoes. The brakes are stock and I don't have any plans to upgrade for a while. On my previous vehicles (BMW 533, 325, Volvo V70 T5) I found that replacing the pads with Metal Master semi-metallics gave me better fade resistance. My car is mostly driven on the street (and somewhat hard at that), although next season I plan to attend a few autocrosses and a track day or two. So have any of you tried the Metal Masters? I've also heard of a brand, name begins with an "F" I think, that was raved about for track use. But given I will drive very little on the track, don't know if that makes …

The subject line asks it all, 300ZX rears look pretty good, why aren't they being used as an upgrade to earlier Z's?

I have recently purchased a set of U.S spec maxima rear disc mounting brakets from my local nissan dealer. I am planning on putting discs on the rear of my 240. I have been told that I need to get the appropriate hardware of a 82 model 280zx. These seem to be very hard to find in my area. Does anyone know if I can use stuff off a 78-79 280zx? Cheers Gavin

Hello everyone, I have been looking for original tyres for my 1970 240Z. These shoul be Bridgestone 175 SR 14,I do not know the model name. Where can I get ,or is anyone can sell these for me?If there are,I will pay more than you expected. I know what the tyre's pattern looks like. And I heard about the story of Mr.Pole Sandy who is a owner of 1970 240Z which is copied for Flanlklin Mint models. He looked around dismantling yeard so many times and he checked spair tyre bin of each 240Z,finaly he managed to get 5 good original tyres for 1970 240Z. I want to do that same thing, but I do not have time. Please let me know anything about it. Thank you. kats
