Just looking for some input! Has anyone out there, using 17" wheels, tried the new Yokohama AVS ES100 tires. I've been running the Yokohama A520 tires (215-40 17 fr. 235-40 17 rear), which seem to work pretty well for spirited canyon running, but it's time for some new skins. What do you think guys? I'm open for suggestions.

Someone had a posting I saw a while back, as to using Mitsubishi?? wheel studs in place of those ridiculously expensive Nismo 40MM studs. Anybody remember the specifics of the thread? I don't want to buy $32 worth of studs (4). Thanks, ecp48

14 years ago when I put 195/70-14's on my 14x7 slotted mags the rear tires rubbed the fenders whenever hitting a big bump or dip in the road. At the time I attributed this to sagging springs. I now have Tokico lowering springs and they still seem to rub (the car appears to ride at about the same height as before) although I haven't driven the car much seeing as how I need new tires. What size should I consider? Should I revert to 185/70 or even 185/60?

I just installed a set of prime 5 spoke wheels on my 280Z. They had never been mounted, because the original owner screwed up on his back space calculations. He had 15x7 wheels with 215/60-15 tires. They fit fine on the back, but not on the front (needed an additiional 7/8" offset. I dropped the size to 205/60-15s on the front and with a 1/2" spacer, it worked fine. However, The track appears significantly wider in the front, than the back (1/2" per side). Will this effect the handling and should I install the same spacers on the rear to equalize the track? It appears to drive fine, street speeds, etc. Any thoughts. ecp48

I have been trying to get good brakes for a while. I have been suffering from the double pump method for a while with these brakes. I'll see something in the road, press the brakes nothing, then I let up press again and oh there's something. I went to bleed my brakes and found that my RR drum has a broken bleeder ( anybody know for sure if it is a 7mm x 1.0?). So I figured that this is why I am having bad brakes because I have air in my RR and I can't get it out cuse its broke off. Well I plan on either drilling or tapping it out. Well in the process of finding a new brake I having been using my emergency brake to closen up the pads so my brakes work alright. Well …

Thought I had seen this discussed recently, but searched and found nothing....What was the original spare tire to come with the full-size spare models? In this case: Late 1972. I just bought two '72's and each has a spare in it that looks original. One is a Toyo and one is a Bridgestone. Both made in Japan and both Nylon corded. Are either of these original and if so, does anyone want them? steve77

I am restoring my '71 240Z and was thinking of going back to the original Hub Caps. I currently have the mag wheels. Any suggestions or thoughts? I purchased 4 hub caps on ebay but they need to be repainted. Does anyone know what the original color is and where would I find it? What type of wheels do I need to put these on? Thanks, Mark

has anyone tired mounting 18x8, 18x10 wheels on a 5 lug z, coilover sus, and flared? tire size is 225 35 18 front, 285 30 18 rear, and calculating the height results in: 24.20" front OD, and 24.73" rear OD, well within the 24.75" stock height on the 195 70 14s, but nearly twice as wide (at least in the rear). any comments? is it possible? please email me: s5fc3s@yahoo.com
