I apologize for making a specific thread for this, but as someone who is keen on the Pansport banana style wheel... and having a hard time finding a set new or used, i am hoping for some guidance. I would like keep the discussion to Panasports and not consider the clones/lookalikes for now, to properly clear up my confusion. I have contacted some vendors and distributors, and the feedback seems to be the model they are suggesting is the Z-light wheel. This appears to be a newer version of the classic style, and lighter. Unfortunately, I have seen statements on some websites that state they are for racing only. I assume this is because it helps cover them from a d…

I am in the process of restoring my original '70 D Wheel Covers and wanted to gather some additional info about them. Does anybody have detailed reference pictures of these wheel caps in Mint/show quality condition? Were the covers chromed or polished? What color is the grey area? What is the best method to restore the caps to their original beauty ( mine clean up well enough for driver quality)? Thanks for all of the help.

Hello, I show you my 240Z got old bridgestone 6.45H14. This is not origanal, but you can see the 1969 240Z in press photo got same size tires. Also there is a discription in Nov.1969 HLS30 parts catalog "tire is 6.45 H14" and also we can see that size in owners manual and service manual with 175SR14 and 175HR 14.I know 175 SR14 is original for my march 1970 240Z. Very careful looking, press photo shows "BRIDGESTONE SUPER SPEED 2"for it's tire. And another press photo I can see "6.45H14"on it's tire. My tire is "SKYWAY-H"so this is different. But looks like press photo tire,I like this old bridgestone logo. Any comment please, thank you. kats

Anyone have experience using these rotors. Look to be the vented type. Will they work on a stock 1972 240Z? Any problems with warpage. What is correct part number. I have seen 126-42004SL shown but not sure it is correct. This part number does not show on the Stop Tech web site for this model and year. Looking for any upgrade to the stock rotor for street use. Any suggestions for pads to use with them?

Decided to freshen up my 1973 240z the front with new bearings, rotors and brakes. Pulled off both sides and it looks like one side is a 260z hub. I have been driving the car and haven't noticed any out of the ordinary except a steering wheel vibration a 50-60 mph, which I thought might be bearings/balance. Could the different hubs explain the vibration? Where can I get a 240Z hub<

I have fluid slowly seeping from where the master fluid reservoirs bolt up to the booster. I replaced the smaller booster a year or so ago and don't remember. Maybe it was sealant type gasket, silicone or something similar. It sat for a couple of months then I finally drove it only to find a huge oily spot on the floor. The front's bigger reservoir was empty but not the smaller one for the rear's. I put a mirror under there and it's wet coming down from the crack between the masters and the booster. Seems like something should be there? Thanks for any ideas/helpful comments. Cliff

225 VR15 Tyres 1 2

I was looking for an equivalent for a Michelin XVS 225VR15 tyre, and I realzed that it is not the usual format for tyre size. The 225 is the tire width, the VR is for V speeds (149 MPH) and R means radial, and 15 is the wheel diameter. Do tyres like these have an aspect ratio, as in 225/70-15? Is that even an American tyre size? European size designations are entirely different. Internet searches reveal nothing about it, only the usual metric tyre size that you see on most tyres.

Every fall, at the beginning of November, I change out my high performance, super sticky Dunlop Star Specs & 16" wheels to the stock wheels and tires. This time, I could not do this due to the Wilwood brake upgrade I did in the spring. Was searching for some 15" replacement wheels, when Zup mentioned he might have some on one of his 240z parts cars. A few weeks ago, we made a trip out to where the cars are stored, and yes, the white 73 had a set of what looked like vintage Enkei 15's. Pulled the wheels, cleaned them up a little, tested the fit and clearance, then ordered a set of new all season tires. Ended up ordering the 4 tires from Tires-Easy.com, turn…

Does anyone have any good practices they can share, besides using things like shoelaces and a pressure washer? If you have a long wheel brush, should you get a certain type? Is it of any benefit to use a cone tool on a drill? How often do you clean the wheels? Is there any kind of special maintenance you do to the wheel besides the cleaning? thxZ

Hey every one. Ok my problem with the 240z is i cant get the brakes to work. When the car is off there is some pressure but still pushes down. When i turn the car on there is noting the pedal drops to the floor the only braking power i have when the car is on is if i pump the pedal new master cylinder. New booster new pads rotors. Some new brake lines. Bleed the master cylinder bleed the brakes still the same. Any ideas whats going on? Sent from my LG-H901 using Tapatalk

Hey guys, I've searched this out and I don't seem to be finding a very clear answer. I've been working on maintaining my car and I've decided my next focus should be brakes before playing with much else. I need rotors, and have been reading a little into the S12-8 calipers with vented rotors. I guess my real question right off of the bat, is if later year vented disks will fit on 240Z hubs? Or if I'd be better off buying ZX struts for the front? Just to clarify, my brakes are working okay at the moment, as everything has been replaced (short of the hoses, but I'll be doing that soon.) This summer/spring once I get my L28 together and swapped, I'm hoping to do some mou…
