booster.bmpI have a 1976 280z, automatic. I need the piece that connects the master vac to the brake pedal. I believe a 1973 - 1978 may work. Anyone have one laying around they might want to sell?

Has anyone changed their hard brake lines on their Z? I have a 72 240z and went to bleed the lines and test they system and found that one of my hard lines had a hole. What size lines would you all suggest? Is there a kit that suggested? Which master cylinder should I go with? Upgrade to one with a built in bias?

I have a set of 14" American Racing Libre wheels I'm thinking of selling. Three are Very nice and one has a few blems on the bead I think from a tread separation and the tire went down. Anyhow, what do you guys think these would be worth realistically? No pics as of now.

I bought a pair of these to get the wider stance look in the back and they fit well but I'm wondering if they are going to wear out my rear bearing sooner than usual. TCS Wheel Spacer-25mm BS / 4X114.3 / 12X1.25 / 71.6mm Bore I can see where wheel spacers would be harder on the front bearings with all the turning forces, etc, but I'm not sure about the backs. Has anyone else had experience these, good or bad? I see some really wide tires on some Zs, so some people must use wheels spacers. Thanks. Gary

I put the 16x7 Rewinds off my 280 on a lowered 240, no rubbing after a month of driving. Now I'm putting new poly bushings on and after doing the front sway bar ends and the t/c rods the front tires are rubbing bad at the front of the fender well. Any ideas from someone? Thanks for any advice, Cliff

I have a 1975 280Z and I would like to upgrade the brakes but also keep my 14" original wheels. If anybody has any upgrade ideas that will achieve this, that would be great if you would share your wisdom. If I can't upgrade the stock callipers, I will have to either get a rebuild kit and rebuild the originals myself or purchase new rebuilt/reconditioned calipers such as Beck Arneley or Nugeon. Just wondering if it is worth it to stick with the original single piston callipers and rebuild them myself as long as the pistons are in good shape/worthy. Thanks, Michael

I can not get brake peddle to rise. New brake lines including new booster and master. no leeks, but peddle will not rise? I'm getting bubbles in both reservoirs for front and rear? I have a peddle but it sucks? Please help me, this car is too perfect to let sit in garage.

Hello All, First off i am new to my Z, and new to the forum. Im sure my problem has been discussed previously but i am having some very odd symptoms! I bought my car maybe 2 months ago. After sitting 30 years in dry storage the whole brake system was shot. I purchased all new pads and shoes and retainers and rebuilt the calipers and the wheel cylinders, along with new flex lines. I also bought the correct master cylinder for my car, it being built in 12/1970. My problem is that even after bleeding the entire system, i cannot get pressure to the front calipers. The bleeder on the master to the rear has pressure, but the front bleeder, once opened, does not. The pedal pu…

I have tried to search for original 240Z wheels to get an idea of what they look like. I have not really found any information that lists this with pictures, names or descriptions. I have seen some of the cars that have hubcaps with a D in them and others with what looks like a four spoke wheel (no hubcaps). What was standard (or at least a factory upgrade) on a '70 240Z? Did it change for '71 or '72? If I buy a '70 - '71 car that does not have the original wheels, can these be purchased? If so, what do they usually cost? Thanks, James

I'm trying to rebuild the right rear brake cylinder and can't figure out how to get the metal disk off so I can replace the rubber piston cup without destroying the metal disk. Could someone please help me out? Thank you!

I stumbled across a source of Brake Hard lines from Master Cylinder to Brake Switch and BrSw to NP Valve a while back when I was searching for a Brake Booster. I am sure I saw prebent replacement hard lines, on the same page as Master Cylinder and Brake Booster - Now I can not find that page... Has anyone seen this source??. It was a source other than Classic Tube.
