I bought a set of Shelby Cal 500 (15x7) slotted rims, polished them and put them on the zed but do you think I can find a set of centre caps. Does anyone know where I could possibly start hunting for a set of these in the States (the cobra logo is not needed as I would put the 'z' on them)? 4 ear screw on caps - metal preferred.

I am back in the market to purchase some used Konig Rewinds preferable the graphite ones. Not sure on size. I want the biggest I can fit without modifying the car. I would also like tires but I realize that shipping will become an issue even for the rims themselves. I am a novice at tires and specs etc. I am located in Louisville, KY. Looking for rims/tires and some advice. The car is mainly a weekend driver and not for racing at this point. I will be ready to purchase early July so just want to see what is out there. If anything. Thanks.

Hi all...this is attached to the proportioning valve and to the booster. Have no idea what it is, and have never had a Z with it before (or ignored its presence) Any help? Curtis

Does anybody have knowledge of a Japanese version of a Borrani 72 spoke center-lock, spline drive wire wheel? The manufacturer is Fortec. I got a set from a Fairlady Z that was imported a couple years ago. I've searched the internet and gotten nothing. There are a couple of pics of a bolt-on style w/ a different spoke pattern on a Japanese show car, but nothing on the style I have. Any info would be helpful..... Thanks, Steve

So it's my understanding that mid-80's 4x4 Yota calipers/pads are a bolt on replacement to the stock calipers. My question is regarding fitment on 14'' wheels. I will be running SSR MKIII's in a 14x7, and would really like larger brakes, but obviously I'm a little concerned about wheel fitment on the larger calipers. Coming from the truck world, I know very few people have fit 14'' wheels with Z32 calipers, so I'm wondering if the Z's are picky in that way as well.

My 240z has has original M/C, calipers and drums, everything is new. Modifications include 280z brake booster, SS braided hoses and Poterfield pads. The braking is excellent, the only problem, if there is one at all, is the brakes don't engage until the pedal is a 1/3 to 1/2 of the way down on the pedal. Is there anything I can do to have the brakes engage nearer the top of the pedal? Thanks, Chris

Hi I am struggling with brake bleeding these days. I have had the complete brake system off the car, and rebuilt the front calipers with new seals. The rear brake cylinders were completely blocked, so I had them out, inspected and cleaned them good. The master cylinder and brake booster was just taken off to have the engine bay painted, and then mounted back in without inspection. Now the issue is that I can't seem to get rid of the air in the rear brake system. I bleed and bleed and bleed, but it is just like it pulls in air through the master cylinder:mad: I follow the procedure, bleeding the master cylinder first, then rear right, rear left, front right, front left. A…

Anyone ever use this product? Tires and wheels are so important in making a car look good. I recently got a spray bottle of EnviroTireShine as a giveaway at a Z car show. Usually you get stuff that just plain sucks at car shows. I gave it a try and it really gives tires a deep dull natural shine......awesome. My guess is that it hasn't been marketed correctly........just wondering if anyone else agrees. It's environmentally friendly which doesn't mean zip to me, but the results are amazing!

76 280Z parked for long time with handbrake set. Released brake - but rear wheels will not turn. Both rear drums frozen. Handbrake has been disconnected. Was able to free one side with banging and force applied with breaker bar between studs. Other side still resisting - any suggestions appreciated. Ed

Hi everyone, I've just taken ownership of a '73 240Z and have started restoring it. I've run into one problem so far though. I can't get the brakes to fully work. I've changed out the rear wheel cylinders due to the old ones being leaky, and some new hard lines in to them. I pulled the MC and thoroughly cleaned it. I haven't done a full proper bench bleed, but I have used a vacuum bleeder on the the MC trying to get most of the air out. also used the vacuum bleeder on wheel bleeders and got the air out of the lines. However i'm still not getting any braking force. With the engine off the pedal is hard to push. when i start it the pedal goes to the floor with almost no res…

Does anyone know of the sizes of the brake lines for our Z cars? The line running from my master cylinder to the Distribution block/proportioning block thing is rounded off and needs to be replaced. I need a replacement and don't know the pitch of the threads and such. Id like to see if anyone knows the answer instead of me taking off the one in my car and having brake fluid leak all over...
