I was helping a friend with his 73 spitfire this weekend and we started talking brake lines and how to save his, then I got to thinking about a company I saw on TV... Classic Tube, Preformed Tubing they manufacture S30 brake lines, fuel lines, hard lines from caliper to strut mount, etc. They got great reviews from the domestic guys. If anybody is desperate, it maybe worth a try.

This is where I think I am gonna head to for my brakes and suspension. They seem very nice and knowledgeable to boot. I plan on going with the 5 lug racing setup. Anyone have experience with them?

I need the definitive answer for a brake mod that is nearly complete ! The car : 1970 240z The master cylinder : Wilwood 1'' The calipers : Toyota SW12 4x4 with stainless braided lines etc. The rotors : vented 300zx So these are on , new , 30 miles . Booster is stock 1970 , obviously needs help - brake pressure needed is a bit too much for a snappy stop - still ok for regular driving mind you , but needs a quicker ''response'' . Is there a ''nearly bolt on'' solution using a 280z etc. part , without having any fitment issues with the clutch master etc ? It seems each car is going to be different as each mod is different . Thanks for any educated / first hand ex…

I'm rebuilding '91 Toyota 4x4 brake caliper. I could've remove 3 pistons, but last one cannot removed. I could've pushed in a little bit using clamp. Pouring PB Blaster, apply heat gun for long time before push air from my 60Gal air compressor. The piston won't move at all. Does anyone have tips to remove piston? Thanks, tamo3

Is it possible to reassemble the Booster with the rear plate 90 degrees off? I ordered a rebuilt unit and if I orient it with the 2 longer studs in the 12:00 and 6:00 o'clock position and the vacuum port in the 4:00 o'clock position (approx) then the rear plate bolt pattern is 90 degrees off. Any advice would be appreciated. I'm thinking I need to send it back.

I replaced my E-brake cable due to 36 years of stretching. Job was not all that hard considering past work done to the Datsun. I have spent many hours trying to find a bigger hammer. I ordered the Raybestos (BC92952) brake cable from Summit Racing and ended up getting a universal part made by Dorman (C92592). Don't worry Summit was willing to send out the Raybestos cable if this one didn't work. I did have to make some mods to the Dorman cable but very little. I had to grind down the ends about 1/8 inch to get clearance. I also had to use the ends off of the old cable. This was not a problem as it was just cutting a slit on the end of the original cable. I was disappoint…

I just picked up a 240 that has too much cancer (and previous damage) to save. However, it has a set of Libra style wheels on it. Are there any positive identifying marks somewhere? I do not have any interest in these and will sell them once I determine what I have. I don't want to mislead anyone.
