I admit this is a dumb question, but I'm in CA, and my elderly mother's 1973 240Z is in Loveland, CO. I'm going there Thursday to help sort though her stuff in preparation for moving her to an assisted living facility. The car has been sitting in her garage for 20 years and the tires are nearly flat. I'll need to remove the wheels in order to take them to a gas station and pump up the tires so the car can roll (it doesn't run). My question is: what size socket should I take with me to CO for the lug nuts? The wheels are the original slotted "mags." Once I get there, I'll take photos and place a "For Sale" ad on this site. It should make a nice restoration project …

Is this supposed to be seated all the way against the bearing? I have trouble getting the hub all the way on the spindle with the seal fully seated against the bearing. Not sure why but the hub just seems to stop sliding up the spindle. Any tricks? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hey guys, can you recommend a legit US based dealer I can order these wheels from? Also I'm still debating going with either 15x8 wheels with 225-50ZR 15" or 16x8 with 225-45ZR 16" Currently have 16x7 Konig Rewind with 215-55ZR 16" wheels with BC Racing coilovers.

I replaced those squiggily brake lines behind the brake drum back plate with the nice new stainless steel kind. One of them fit correctly; the other-see picture-appears to need an additional fitting. Does anyone have any ideas? Loyal Baker 72 240Z

I had to drop both rear struts yesterday to install my insulator spacers (car was riding a tad low in the back because the replacement spacers wire from a 240z and are shorter.). You have to remove the hand brake cable clevis pins to get the strut to drop enough to get the top of the struts past the fender lip. There is a approximate 2” rubber boot that goes over the cable (see pic), near that clevis pin. Has anyone found a replacement source for these or know of one that works from a different vehicle. I’d like to replace mine if possible. In the car parts manual it’s #26 in the graphic and they call it a “spring return”, but that the spring covered by the boo…

1972 with all new brakes . Master cylinder is a NABCO , or whatever is being sold by Nissan - but made in Japan . I am losing fluid but in a strange way . After a long period of driving I check the MC and the front reservoir is low while the rear is full to the top . I have brake fluid oozing out somewhere from the rear reservoir . Not sure if it is somehow getting pressurized and coming out the bottom or what . I’ll have wetness around the band clamp and around the MC body . The band clamps are tight . This is driving me nuts . I’ve never read of this situation . The front brakes are upgrade with the S12 calipers .

A bit of background: A few months ago I was driving my 240 and the left front brake locked up on me. The caliper was completely seized and the pistons were not returning. I got the car home and rebuilt both front brakes with new piston seals and pads. After this the brakes were working flawlessly and I had no leaks. Fast forward to yesterday and the brakes locked up on me again. This time however, both front brakes were locked up and I noticed fluid leaking out of the top of the differential pressure switch. Left the car in a parking lot while I went to go get a trailer and by the time I got back to the car, the brakes were free and worked just fine. I tried replica…

Hey guys, I just had BC Racing coilovers installed on my 240Z last week with great success. Two days ago I decided to bring the front down a bit and now it rubs when I hit the brakes. Any ideas as to what I did wrong?

Hi Guys, were these standard on 280z? any thoughts about the 2 piston calipers. I have replacement calipers in the front from Oriellys but my originals which I plan to rebuild are 2 piston per caliper etc.

Just picked up a 240Z two weeks ago that came with the Enkei HR 14x7 wheels. Though they look nice I quickly replaced them with a set of Konig Rewind 16x7's. Does anyone have info on these wheels? Called Enkei yesterday and left a message and awaiting a reply.
