I searched and found some stuff but don't have a clear answer so here's the situation: Brakes didn't work when I bought the car due to sitting for years. Replaced master cylinder with unit from rockauto flushed and refilled, worked perfectly for months Car went to interior shop and sat for a month, brakes stopped working. Front reservoir was empty but it didn't appear to be leaking. I'm not a pro so I didn't know what happened, refilled, bled and ran for another month Today I'm driving around and hit the brakes. Break pedal is super hard but the car doesn't stop well, hissing sound, motor dies. Obviously the brake booster failed, no apparent external vacuum leaks So …

gave these a good hand polish and decided to brush paint the inside of the webbing with a satin black thought this might be good to post if anyone is considering the final outcome. at least now anyone can take a look and decide if they like it or not before actually painting their own rims. They still need a final coat, and a good buff with a terry to bring in the shine a bit more, but i think i like the results so far. new tires coming soon. before this is after,

Purchased my second Z, a 1977 280 Z with Enkei wheels as shown in the picture. Can anyone fill me in about these? Are they an aftermarket wheel or are they stock? Appreciate your input!

Took apart the original brake calipers to rebuild them but two of the four pistons are shot, rust breaking through the hard chrome. I haven't checked yet but kinda doubt Nissan will be still be selling these. Guess I could have new hard chrome re-plated onto them, or put an ad out for anyone that have changed out their front calipers for something else that maybe they could sell me their old pistons. Any other ideas? Thanks, Chris

hi folks,\ my mind is buzzing after reading all the posts i can handle on rim/tire issues. I'm about to order some tires for my appliance wire mesh 14x6 as I've decided to keep them. currently i have 195/70 R14 on there now. Im half way done lowering the car with the eibachs and added blue tokicos. wondering if anyone has run 225/60 R14 or 205/70 R14. looking at the BFG's cause i like the retro big bun look, but could use some input on what others have experienced. I have a stock front facia but would like to add a 'spook' spoiler in the future. current 195's are good for clearance but would like to increase width as long as it does'nt look too bulged out, or cause rubbin…

Hi, I've got a 71 240Z and would like to replace the rusty lug nuts. It's been suggested to purchase 'McGards'. I'm okay with that but a web search only lists McGards for a 260Z. Question: Do the 240Z's share the same lug nut specs as as the 260Z's? Thanks, George

Hi all: In searching past threads I have found that there are a lot of different tire sizes and offsets in use. Being a little new to the game I wanted to ask before I buy if this combination would work 16X8 wheel with +4 offset and 225/50/16's. The car is lowered an inch. Should I offset more or will this fit in the fender if I roll the lip?

On my 71 240z I removed all the rear brake parts to clean and repaint. Since I use the emergency brake all the time it will adjust the the rear shoes up so tight the car will hardly move. What a time to getting the drums off. I dont see anything I did wrong. I know everytime you put on the emergency brake it will adjust the star wheel up to tighten the shoes up. I watch this happen when I have the drum off and someone pulling on the emergency brake handel. What stops it from making the shoes get so tight?

I had Goodyear Eagle GT's mounted on them. I was trying to get these Goodyears with white letters. The guys at the tire shop said I could get the white lettered tires. But, when they called in the order they were told none were available. They said they are still made, but they're made in small batches and might be available in a few weeks or six months or who know's. They couldn't give me a definate time frame so I settled for these. Tomorrow morning the front bumper goes on.

Just wondering does anyone recognise these 14" wheel that I have fitted on my car. PO said they were rare and I've as yet never seen them anywhere. Closest I've seen is on Ford Capri Lasers from the 80's in Europe but they arent the same as these.

I just picked up a set of the wheels that I can not find any information on. I know they were purchased in the early 80's in Japan by a U. S. serviceman and I was told by the seller that they were vintage even then. I have searched every jdm wheels database I could find, but am not any closer to identification. I know they are jdm / almex and the size is 4 X 114.3 X 5.5 and that they were manufactured by the Yokohama Rubber Company. Beyond that I have very little else to go on. I absolutely love the look of these. They will likely end up on my Roadster. The seller had them on a Fairlady Z at one point. the only other casting marks are "YSE455-1" and the size includes a "J…
