Good day. Have an older set of "slotts" for my 240Z and need center caps. My opening measures 3 1/8. Contacted Motorsports and they have a set with 3 3/16 opening (plastic material). Motorsport Rep did not know if this 1/16 inch difference would make a big difference. If they did not fit and I broke one trying to get it on - Motorsport would not accept a return on a broken part. Therefore, I will turn to the pros here: does anyone have any "educated guess" on whether these caps will work? Are caps available in "metal" instead of plastic? Or is there another place to order caps? Thanks, David Jacks Fort Worth, Texas 1972 240Z

Hey guys I'm leaving my Z in storage for three weeks as I go visit family in Florida. A few days ago I noticed a rather interesting sound while decelerating, at speeds under 10mph. (I'm guessing like 2-5). The best way I can describe it is it literally sounds like a wobble sound coming from the rear passenger's side. For investigation purposes I lifted the rear of the car off the ground. (placed the jack under the pumpkin) and span the wheels to see what I would find. Found that the rear passenger's side tire will slow to a stop about 3/4 of the way around. (so like 270 degrees). I don't know if it's the brakes rubbing or maybe a bad bearing (I didn't really have time to …

I'm looking 2 run either 15 x 9.5 (Front) 15 x 10.5 (Rear) or 16 x 9.5 (Front) 16 x 10.5 (Rear) but I'm trying 2 figure out the right offset (F) & ®? and yes I'm running ZG flares. From the research I have been doing it looks like a 9.5" wheel needs a -19mm and a 10.5" wheel needs a -25mm. Also if I were 2 run a 9.5 -19mm all the way around would the wheels stick out the same (F) & ®? thanks, Colby

Hello All! I have P205/60R15 Radial tires, that were recently mounted on it. On the front two wheels they are rubbing against the springs slightly. the tires are probably too big. Could I fix this problem by replacing both springs with slightly smaller springs so they no longer touch the tire? Thanks in advance -Lukas '78 280z

Hi all - After having PepBoys mangle my fireglass airdam, and then backing off on replacing it (it wasn't new), I'm debating getting another airdam in the future but will be recovering the front with the lower valence. At the time I was crawling under the front end, I realized that the beautiful almost new tires (Road Hugger[?]) are 13"s, which is another reason why the car sits pretty low. The rims are supposedly (the PO has almost zero credibility at this time so everything he has so far told me is suspect - with reason), dealer-installed optioned, and I like them (you can view them at my cardomain site), so I might keep them. However, I'd like to replace these tires wi…

Is anyone here running 275/40/17 tires on the rear of a S30 with ZG Flares and conventional suspension (Tokico Blues and lowering springs)? If you are running 275's; what is you rim size and offset?

I have lost the master in my 72 240 but have a brand new master for a zx (15/16) bore. The ZX would have had rear disc brakes. Any ill effects if I replace the original master with the zx master? I'd think the proportioning valve would compensate the difference for the pressure for the rear disc but could be completely wrong. Anyone have any first hand info on it?

Hi Everyone! Happy New Year! I have a quick question. Does anyone know where I can find a diagram of the number and location of the brake/fuel line brackets? I have a pile of parts and am not sure where they go and what I still need. Thanks. carl budelsky

I did a search and not much popped up. I was browsing on a few forums and noticed some rwd cars with a larger width/diameter wheel for the rear. Example: 15 front and 16 rears. From what I've learned it is purely cosmetic. Has anyone tried this before?

Scratch Scratch scratch... Well that was the sound my drum brake on the drivers side made today when I took it out to get some lunch for the family. I also noticed that when I let off the gas and shifted into neutral, the car slowed and came to a less than smooth stop. Meaning it felt like the brake was dragging. To test this theory, I put it in first and let the clutch out slowly without giving it gas. THe car will die before it is able to move it under its own power while idling. There was also a lovely smell coming from the rear of the car like pads overheating. So, I got it home, Pulled the wheel off disconnected the E-brake cable rotated the drum so the in…
