I know I should use the search function but I'm pressed for time at the moment so I can't. I plan on putting 16's on my Z however I'm unsure of the best offsets to run I have and idea for the front I know a fellow z owner with 16s on his car but the rear I'm not sure. I'm going to run a 16x10 (yea I know) but don't know about an offset. the offset I've seen for a 16x9 is -19 so I'd figure its somewhere in that range. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I put the Konig rewinds (15") on the car the other day and the wheel centers snapped right on the rear wheels, but the front will not go on at all. It seems the front centers are just barely being kept from snapping on by just a few mm's. Will I have to take the wheel off and find some type of spacer to go behind the wheel? Or is there another way that may be easier. Anyone ever have this problem? Thanks for any assistance.

I bought a set of restorable hubcaps off ebay not too long ago for a very reasonable price (35USD). I put about 40USD and a lot of time into them. I am very happy with the results, but they are not perfect. I have to thank Ed (DatsunZguy) for helping me with this project. His knowledge and inspiration is what started it all. I also wanted to thank Stephen for sending me the OEM lugnuts, and Wilber (guycali) for the steel wheels. I know this is not an awards show, but I just wanted to say thanks to these individuals. If anyone is interested in restoring their hubcaps, I would be glad to give advice. Like I said, they are not perfect even though in the photo they …

Hey all, I know this topic has been covers a ton of times. In trying to read most (not all) of them I haven't come across what I was thinking about. I guess I am trying to think outside the box and be different then what most are doing. What about using the brake setup from a 93-95 Mazda RX-7. They have been used in a few other setups. Here are some of the benefits I can think of: Fronts - 4 piston Rear - 2 piston Both are AL (much light then 4x4 upgrade) Aren't very hard to find Can be bought brand new for pretty cheap The other main thing I can think of that will need to be made is a bracket to hold them. I'm sure I am making this easier then it actually will be…

So I bought a set of 14's Slot Mags. Pic below: So looking at these wheels, I'll need some flat/mag style lug nuts. Refer to the image below (see the one on the very right). So with this in mind, two questions: 1. Where can I find lug nuts that will accomodate these wheels? 2. Will it be possible to have a machine shop or someone machine the holes to accomodate them for the tapered style lug nut (see image above, illustration on the very left)? Any help is greatly appreciated

I haven't had a chance to research this yet, but I plan to get underneath the car this weekend. I was hoping that I could get some ideas on possible causes before starting. The details, HLS30-17269 build date 12/70. Stock braking system. The rear reservoir (one closest to the firewall) ran dry, the front reservoir was slightly low, but was still 3/4 full. No visible signs of leakage around master cylinder or master vacuum. There are signs of leakage under the car, dripping down onto the top of the transmission, with splash moving toward rear of the car on the passenger side. No visible leakage on either wheel brake calipers or cylinders (looking through the slot…

Checked the common spots (motorsports, ebay, and anything that came up in an online search). Anyone have any leads? Thanks! So, I'm getting back around to finishing the brake project that I started oh so long ago. I'm going to clean out all the lines and everything, and I'm wondering how I need to clean the proportioning valve and the fault warning light switch. Should these just be blown through with compressed air and isopropyl alcohol or do they need to be disassembled? If so, are there replacement (rebuild) parts available?

Hello all: I recently acquired a nice set of vintage Minilite 14" X 6.5" aluminum wheels and am trying to find a tire that will fit but still give me a vintage/period look. My car (1973 240Z) is the stock height. I'm not looking for track/race performance. Just a nice daily driver tire that will fill out the wheel wells nicely. I've searched the forum and found references to different size wheels and what would be appropriate for various applications. Just have not found anything specific to the 14" X 6.5". Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks! Sam
