Well, my 40 year-old slotted aluminum wheels are getting ready to retire. And no, that doesn't mean I'm getting new rubber... I'm looking at Konig Rewinds and Rota RB wheels in a 16 x 7 size w/ minimum offset. I will probably have to limit my tire size to 205-50 to avoid rubbing anywhere as the Z is lowered a bit. Does anyone have any opinion or experience with either of these brands, good or bad? I'd appreciate your personal knowledge on these two makers. Many thanks!

I have 2 classic Shelby Viper wheels that I have had for years. They are 14" x 5-1/2" with 0 offset. 4 bolt Is anyone familar with these wheels and have any idea of their value? no curb rash - just some oxidation that needs cleaning up. I am thinking of selling them to free up space in the garage and would just like some advice. I do know these are rare. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Hi everyone, So the final step to getting the z road-safe is to put fresh rubber on her. I'm using the slotted 14" alloys. I've decided on a 205/60R14 after reading some posts here and doing some research of my own. I don't need super sticky tires, a tire that's good for spirited twisty road driving and perhaps an autocross meet or two will suit my needs. I'm going to be in the learning-the-car phase for quite a while, so I won't need tires that allow the car's limits to be pushed yet. Hopefully that makes sense. Evans Tire has taken care of my pickup's tire needs in the past, so it would be nice to work with them again, but the only tire they offer is the Capitol Ne…

I am certain I recall a member looking for a wheel like this. It is posted in his signature. I can't remember/find who it is. If you know, let them know about this wheel. It is on craigslist. I don't know the seller, nor anything beyond that. Just trying to help a member out. Thanks, Leonard

Ok guys I have a 74 260 and i'm looking for a set of rims. I have been looking all over the net. But all rims say they need spacers and stuff. Is there anywhere I can get a set of rims that just bolt on without spacers.

I have a bad e brake cable on my 240Z. I have a new 280 cable. I need the ends to connect to the arm on the wheel cylinder. Can anyone help with part numbers and what I'm missing. I see I have to open the holes in the cable mounts, that is no problem but I need the missing parts.

Hi all, I'm ginning up the courage to replace the front wheel bearings on my 240Z. I've never attacked wheel bearings before, but I do have several repair manuals and their doesn't seem to be anything beyond my capabilities. However, a couple of the terms leave me puzzled. First: What the heck is a "drift?" All the manuals refer to using a drift to remove the outer race. Second: What the heck is the "outer race?" Is it what a ignorant layperson such as I would call the "bearings?" Third: All the manuals make reference to a special tool for installing the outer race bearings -- is this a really, really, special tool or could I buy / rent one at an auto parts store?…

ON my 71 I am redoing the front end, bearings, brakes, rotors, etc. IN doing so, I accidentally let all the brake fluid drain out of my front reservoir since the calipers are off. Does this effect the rears. I know they are separated, but was wondering if an empty front reservoir would effect my rear when I get the calipers on adn have to bleed them again.

I can get a set of Konig rewinds for a good price but they have a 20 positive offset. They are 4x100 lug pattern. 15". Will these fit my 72 240? I'm concerned about the off set. Thanks

I've inherited a '74 260 and am in the process of getting it back on the road after about a 10 year hiatus. It won't be a track car, just one that will see some spirited street driving. I want vented rotors on the front, but I don't see a reason to put discs on the back. I vintage race a '65 Mustang and have to run a disc/drum combination, so I know that drum rears can provide all the braking that I'll need. If I upgrade to Toyota 4 pots in the front with vented rotors, will I need to fit the car with an adjustable brake bias or will the stock valve be sufficient? I'm planning on putting a 280zx master cylinder on it. Thanks in advance for the help.

I have 3 out of 4 center caps for my wheels. The rims accept 3 5/16" caps but I can't find them anywhere. Does anyone know what rims these are and where I might be able to find center caps?
