does any one know the specs on the stock 74' 260z bolt pattern? (4-LUG) what other rims fit, the only other rim that i know fit are mustang rims. I'm looking for cheap rims i can tear up for drifting HELP!!

My brake booster decided to die on me about a week ago. So i picked up a new one. This was the first time working with the brakes on my 260z, and i picked up some speed bleeders, they have worked really well for me in the past. Anyways, replacing the booster was no problem. But i have run into a problem with bleeding that i dont know how to explain, or at least explain without going and replacing a bunch of other brake components. I was able to bleed the front brakes just fine using the speed bleeders. But i have had issues with the back brakes. First off, when i tried to bleed the rear brakes, alot of rusty fluid came out, and then nothing came out, not even air, …

I'm getting ready to make my own brake lines for my 71 240z. I have found everything I need except the 10mm x 1.0 brake line nuts. I've tried my local Autozones and Oreillys and Napa with no luck. I can buy brake lines with the correct nuts everywhere, but not the nuts ONLY. Where else might I try to look. Or do I just go ahead and order them online. Thanks.

So I'm going to be replacing the brake lines on my Z. So far I've gotthe following list of parts: ~Calipers ~Drums ~Pads ~Rotors ~Shoes ~Master Cylinder ~Brake Lines Did I miss anything? Should I be wary of anything from the auto store? I can change brakes fairly easily, though this will be my first Z brake job.

Hello, I'm looking a 1970 240 in the pictures found in the link below. I'm wondering if anyone might know what these wheels are exactly. The owner of the car only said they were a "dealer install option". I'm don't know what he means by that. I have seen these wheels in another picture of a 240, so I'm thinking they are original Nissan but don't know for sure. I need peoples opinions on something. I have the old hard lines from the brakes and fuel lines and they are in pretty good shape for their age. There is still some of the cadmium plating on them. The question is....do I have them replated and use them again or do I just replace them with newer stainless steel lines. I am not going for a concourse rebuild so its not like I need them to be original. Part of me would like to reuse them because of the good condition. Do the newer stainless steel lines get you anything? I know when the rubber lines are replaced with flexible stainless lines you get better response. Also, the cost to replate them may be a factor as well…

Pretty much anything I've driven thats around the age of my '70 240z usually requires a stand on the pedal to slow it down. The 68 F100 I borrowed comes to mind. While I'm not sure why this is exactly, I'd like to lighten the effort on my Z car to make it feel like more modern brakes, which is better for the autocross track. The master cylinder on my Z works - there is no drop in idle when the brakes are pressed, and when the car is shut off the pedal becomes waaaay heavier like it should since there is no vaccuum. So I think its okay there. The pedal seems to have a lot of slop (freeplay) before I feel the resistance and subsequent stopping forces. There is a ligh…

I just replaced the master cylinder on my 280Z but the same problem continues. I have a good firm pedal with the car not running but when I start the engine the pedal goes down another couple of inches but not quite to the floor. The brakes do work but I am concerned about being that close to the end of the pedal travel. It does not help much to pump the pedal. I believe I have bled the system correctly in the right order including bench bleeding the master. The master is new, not rebuilt. I would guess that their is a problem with the booster but I can't understand how the pedal can be good without vaccum and then change. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

I'm looking at a set of Yokohama Avid tires for my bronze '78 coupe. OEM 14" steel wheels with OEM "mag" wheel covers. Any thoughts or comments on these tires in general or specific to Z cars?

Can you use an aftermarket rotor such as the vented, slotted and cross drilled rotors of r1 concepts that are made for the stock 240-280z calipers with the S12, S12W or later 86-88 S12+8 Toyota calipers without using the rotor spacer? I am trying to save the $100-150 cost of the spacer. Thanks, John
