Looks like my rear proportioning / residual pressure valve is the culprit. Looked in the classifieds, but no joy. I can put in a after-market valve, but would prefer to use the correct one. Anybody have one they are willing to part with?

Hello to all... I have a stock 77 280z with original 14" wheels and covers. For awhile now I am wanting to give it some new tires and wheels and have decided on the rota rb in 15x7 with 225-50-15 or 205-55-15 tires. I would have considered 16" wheels but it seems like there can be rubbing issues. I would really like to see some pictures of 225-50-15 tires on a stock 280 setup and is lowering necessary to look right? Thanks in advance.

Hey I've got four original wheel covers for my 240z. They are in perfect condition, and i have taken them off the car to keep them in good shape. I'm thinking about getting different wheels for my car so how much do you think i could get for 4 perfect original wheel covers.

The rubber boots at the ends of my handbrake cable are all dried out and have tears in them. Now I need to replace the cable with a new one, or a used one that is in a good state. BlackDragon auto has a cable for 70-73 240Z cars, I don't think this wil fit my late 74 260Z? MSA has availability problems with the 74.5-76 brakecable. Any other resource to get a replacement cable? Thanks

I was grabbing a few parts off a junkyard-bound 280Z this morning (depressing, even in though it wasn't mine) and came across a pair of brake drums still in the box in the rear hatch. Great, I had read here that drums for Z's are no longer being made and are becoming difficult to find. Once home I took one out of the box and 1-2-3-4-5. 5? 5 bolt holes. Those aren't going to fit my 1972. Which brings up my question: Were there any 5-bolt, drum brake Z's or ZX's? The boxes are stamped "Made In Japan," so they pretty much have to be for some import. I can't get my brakes to work propery. I upgraded from stock 1972 brakes to maxima rear calipers, 1973 (larger) master vac, toyota 12S-8 front calipers. No other changes. Here's the problem, pedal goes to the floor with virtually no force. Observations: 1) Pumping brakes has no effect on pedal force. . 2) Get a "squishy" sound when pedal is pushed 3/4 travel to the floor. . 3) Rear pads are fully contacting discs. . 4) Front rotors turn easily, with maybe 0.010" clearance on both pads to rotor. . 5) No visible leakage anywhere. No decrease of fluid in master cylinder. . 6) There is no pedal force, but brakes do work when pedal is about 1/2 way down. . …

Does anyone know where to get the 2 master vac hoses for a series 1 240z? I can't seem to find them anywhere. Nissan no longer has any available and I haven't been able to find them on any other z website.

I am doing the Modern Motorsports 240SX rear caliper swap on my 240Z and want to use the 15x7 American Racing Ansen Sprint slotted wheels. MSA sold these wheels as "Flashbacks" for awhile. Is anyone here using this brake and wheel combination? Any fitment issues? Thanks Miles

Running a 225/60/14 At 70 mph on my speed-o I'm doing about 60mph 225/60/14 is a circumference 77.4 Is the stock 175hr14 a 82 inch circumference? If yes that would explain the problem. Also what sizes should I use I see people say 195/70/14's is that right? If I switch rims or get some thing nicer like 15's. What size wheel should I get? and what tire to match it?

OK, I serarched previous treads but am still not clear… Will a larger bore 280ZX brake master cylinder bolt-up to a 1973 vacuum master vac unit without modification? Do I need to re-route brake lines? Thanks!

Recently bought 11/73' 1974 datsun 260z came with a set of 5slot aluminum mags will be applying for collectors plates where i live and need to have correct stock or era correct aftermarket rims to date. I've spent a lot of time trying to find leads on these rims, the only information i can find is that they could be appliance rims, the centercaps are metal and rusty but have a fancy imprinted A on them. push in, not bolted on. i will get a more specific shot of rim, this is what i have so far. any help is appreciated it!
