Does anyone know anything about ROTA wheels? They make a model called RB that look almost identical to Panasports at about 1/2 the price. The wheels are made in the Phillipines according to the website. I don't expect them to be as good as Panasports but are they good enough. With the money I'm spending to restore my car any breaks in cost help. I don't know if the center caps will be a problem or not. They come in a variety of sizes. Thanks Carl

I ordered some Rota RB-R 17x8.5 +4 Offset for my 75 280z and got them mounted yesterday. Took my Z to work and took a few pictures. Tell me what you think. I think they came out great. I was able to mount on stock suspension with no spacers. Its a pretty tight fit, but i doesn't rub at all. It will probably rub if and when I lower it. I'm running 225-45-17. Before... After... And future????

Hi All! I am realizing that my brakes have never been right in the two years of owning my Z. I have only put a few hundred miles on her as I go through the bits and pieces, so it has not been a big issue. Now, things are running good and solid and I MUST get the brakes right! Can anyone direct me as to the "correct" or "preferred" replacements? Not necessarily looking for originals, unless they are still avail. at a reasonable price. Do I just go to the local NAPA and buy what they have available? Thanks again, guys, for any help you may have for me!!!! Regards, Astrohog

Greetings- I'm the proud new owner of a 73 240z that had a previous life performing road-race + solo1 activities. It's not completely stripped- it's still streetable. The PO performed the toyota 4 piston caliper upgrade up front, but with solid rotors. The rear still has the stock drum brakes. I want to upgrade the brake capacity before I take it out on the track. Plus, the current brake condition is kind of an 'unknown' so I want to start with a clean slate. I've done a staggering amount of research... so far, the best cost/performance it seems the best is to do the following: Front: toyota 4x4 with 300zx vented rotors Rear: 240sx calipers/300zx solid rotors Master Cylin…

Does anyone have a real picture of a drum brake assembly? The one in the haynes manual is not really clear. Having trouble with the shoes. I rebuilt the whole car and now assembling and stuck on this. I think I might have put the wheel cylinders on wrong. Any help will be appreciated. 74 260z

Greetings members of the Z club. Im about to customize rims for my 1977 260Z 2+2, im planning to get the 17" classic/4 rims from www.ccwheel.com & planning to follow Curtis240z's Z as shown in the attached picture. What i need is some advice from you fellow Zedders. At the moment i am using stock springs & suspensions, but planning to get a set of Tokico Illumina externally 5 way adjustable shocks and Tokico High Performance Lowering springs 1. Is Front 17" x 8 and Rear 17" x 9 ok for my Z? 2. What's the maximum width size of rims can i go without making the rims stick out of the car 3. What would be the desirable offset size? 4. Is the PCD for Z 114.3mm? 5…

Saw these on Craigslist. Don't know if they are real or copies. No connection with the seller, either. Thought someone might be interested.

If you were going to paint the calipers on a 280Z, what color would you pick? I lean towards Silver, red, or black. I will probably paint the drums to match too. thxZ

The car was pulling to the right a bit, so I took it in for an alignment. I also had the guy replace a worn down back right tire with a spare good one I had. Anyways, back to the point; turned out the car's alignment was fine; but the front right brake caliper was a bit tight and the wheel wasn't spinning as freely as the left front. It was touching. At that point, the mechanic said each caliper was 65 bucks, plus 85 for the work...in the end the work would cost about 245 bucks plus tax. It seemed a bit steep, and not entirely trusting the mechanic; I decided to just pay for the alignment and leave (to do it myself). If it all works out, I should be able to do the same j…
