I definitely want the Sportmax 002 but can't decide on 15s or 16s. I've seen many pics of 15x8 with 225/50 series tires on them and they looks good, but haven't seen too many 16s and don't know what tire size i'd run on that. Here's a pic i found and i actually really like how it looks and fits in the wheel well. Can anybody tell me the exact wheels size and tire size of this pic? Thanks

I have the Toyota 4x4 brake conversion with vented rotors on my track car. The high heat eventually deposits a microscopic film on the rotors, which makes them vibrate like the rotors are warped. Is there a good way to clean them without having to get the rotors turned? One option I have heard is to use MetalMaster brake pads to clean them up. If there is a quicker easier way, I am open to proven suggestions. TIA, Marty

I know that the hose is NLA and no one even MSA or BD carries any longer for the 240Z. S I bought one from Ebay from a user than sells a lot of Z stuff, I asked if it would fit as it looked like it had more bends in it than mine had and I was reassured it did. I figured that at worse case I would have to relocate the spot where it connected to the engine, but now that I have it I can't see where it would go. Below are pics: First is of the current hose that came with the car Second is of the new hoselaid next to the old hose Third is of seeing how it would go if I moved the pick up to the spot in front of the current one Fourth is of putting it where I have seen ot…

Here's the problem.. 1. At a stop, when the car is either cold/warm, pushing the brale pedal produce a hissing noise inside the cabin. 2. Pedal is really firm, like no assist is available.. 3. When the brake pedal is pressed at a stop, the car shudders and want to die... 4. No leak, brake fluid is ok, have been changed last year... What would be the problem?? Thanks, Guy

When I drove the car yesterday, I noticed that the brake pedal goes all the way to the floorboards when I'm sitting at a stop light. The brakes work fine, stop the car, and they'll lock up if I want them to. But at stop lights, the pedal feels like its all the way to the floor. But again, it stops fine, and at lights, it doesn't feel like its going to move, its just feels strange to me. All new brakes, everything bled properly, no air in the lines. I don't know if this has something to do with the vacuum assist? This is my first Datsun, and maybe its normal, but it does feel a little strange.

Just a heads-up, and I don't know if I'm alone, but I had no luck using a MightyVac to bleed my brakes. I found that I was just pulling air through the bleeder threads, and nothing through the cylinders. The teflon tape doesn't really work, because once you back them off a few times, they lose the thread seal, and you start pulling air through the threads again. Maybe if I had speedbleeders it would've worked alright, but not with the stock bleeders. Anyway, after about 2 - 3 hours of trying unsuccessfully with the MightyVac, I had a buddy come over and bleed them the traditional way, and I was done in 15 minutes. So in my experience, if your frustrated with trying to…

I will apologize in advance, as I know these type of posts tend to be nauseating. I have scrolled through all 13 pages of the members gallery & I am looking for a particular car because I have specific wheel & suspension questions. It is a photo that I found & saved some time ago. Now, I can't find the user's photo gallery. Hopefully he or she still comes to this forum. I would like to know if this car has been lowered an inch by the suspension & what size wheels are the Panasports. Also, if possible, which size tires. This is the stance & look that I want for my own silver 240Z, & I thought I'd try to find out for sure that these are 16" wh…

Hello all. I have a parts request for a friend, he's looking for a set of the Shelby wheels that look like the Vector Racing Rims from the Dukes of Hazard Charger, if that helps. The Shelbys are 12 spokes similar to the Vetors 10 spoke design but instead have a "wall" around the lug nuts which the spokes flow out from to the edge of the rim. Sorry I don't have a picture but I've seen these before and thats about as best I can desribe. They are ofthen times confused for Western Wheel Turbines. Looking for a whole set or enough individuals and one spare, center caps not needed. Thaynx ~Z~

So I purchased a pair of toyota 4 x 4 front brake calipers a few months ago from a auto wrecker here in Grenada and spent a lot of time cleaning wire brushing prep for high temp paint , getting brake pads and ordering a beck arnley hardware (springs) kit from Amazon. (one of the calipers was missingthe springs and pins) Upgraded the rubber flex lines with Stainless braided Russel ones removed the old calipers Got the old calipers off, removed the dust shields , cut out an appropriate amount to accomodate the new larger calipers ,painted the dust shields. installed the dust shields and new used calipers rehooked the lines and then had a look. Crap! There is a big space b…

I just bought a '76 280Z and am tring to find out what wheel and tire sizes will fit. I plan on putting a coil over suspension and fender flares. I would like 17's or 18's with at least a 10 inch wheel. Is this even possible? Pics of some would be great. The car will be a street car but it will be seeing a lot of track time as well. Any help is greatly appriciated.

Hi All! I decided to replace the un-original wrongly sized master cylinder and brake booster from the 240z. I ordered the correct ones from a NON-specialist autoparts supplier. The problem is that there was no flange(the 10mm spacer between the brake booster and master cylinder that nissanman mentioned to me) supplied with the booster. The haynes picture gives me a rough idea what it looks like. I thought it would be as simple as going to the machine shop and having the spacer made with a hole in the middle for the master cylinder to go through till the "ears" with mounting holes contacted the face of the brake booster. But i`m told the flange/spacer has to be made so th…
