Hello all. I have been looking around for a Z car for about 2 years now to purchase. I have finally found one that I am 99% positive that I am going to end up purchasing. It is a 1971 240z. I was thinking about dropping in an LS1 into this beast, but since the engine and tranny have been rebuilt, I dont really have a good reason too. Plus I was only thinking about doing that if I got a newer 240z, or a 280 n/a. But instead I got an older 240z that is still all stock, in great condition so I am going to pretty much leave it this way. Though I would like to get a little more power out of it. I was thinking about getting a triple carb. I was looking at getting a DCOE…

i just got myself a free injection manifold for my z do you think this would be better than the hitachi round tops if i run aan after market ecu and get rid of all the crap i dont need like air flow meater and polution crap only problem is it will be to tempting to go turbo with injection

Has anybody put a holley on a Z with the manifold that is sold from Motorsport? any good or bad experiences with it? I'm just wondering looking into it and i'm kind of interested. thx Ian.

I had seen a while back that there was some interest in trying to optain the ARITA Speed, S130 Front Airdam's. I have this same thread on HybridZ, and I'm posting here to see if anyone else may be interested. I wanted to gauge the interest in having a group buy to have these imported from Japan. If there is enough interest, I will make some arrangments to see what the cost's would be to make this happen through my JDM distributor. I've already discussed this briefly, and he said he would intertain the idea if there was enough interest. So far there are 3 people onboard.. I would like to see at least 6 before I take it to the information level. 8 would be even better. …

does any body know of any aftermarket in dash tach's that will fit into the 240 dash . i have bought two 280z tachs as they say in the conversion manual for the chevy v8 swap and cant get either of them to work good so i hope to find a aftermarket that will fit in the hole and mount .any ideas?

Hi, well just thinking into possibly adding a turbo to my project car (which at the moment is still pretty much junk ) but for later when finally through every single detail of the car Im thinking of changing the L28 crankshaft and swapping it for the L24 to lower the compression and then add a turbo. Any ideas or suggestions, and comments? Do you guys think it is a good idea?

i am trying to part out 2 datsun 280zx's if you can help one has t roof the other has spoilers on all windows and fin on hatch makes a car look a lot different with these on they are original and came with the car i have 2 one is a 79 and the other i thought was an 81 but i do not think they made datsun anymore then so maybe it is a year or two older because they are both datsuns not nissans i forgot my email ajezduzit@hotmail.com

Hello from AustraliaROFL This is my VG30det 260z , hope you like it. Let me know what you think? now lowered! ITS TOGETHER AND STARTS AGAIN! Sounds tuff with the new exhaust manifolds,and exhaust (3.5 inch half the way then 3 inch ) ]these are shots taken under the car at the rear, you can see the bottom of the fuel tank, the fuel pumps ect. You can see the bushes on the srung steel bar holding the diff are aluminum,the diff twisting under take off would mash the bushes, so turning up new ones to make it solid was the only way to beat the problem.
