I met this person the other day outside a local shop. I had seen the car driving around once before and this time i had a chance to stop by and check it out up close. This is a 72 i believe and it is the sweetest V8 swap i have ever heard of. This thing is a beast in person and she even poped the hood for me so i could give it a look. Very cool. Im gonna try and catch em down at the track sometime to see this thing in person. Check out their website. http://www.ratsun.com

Looking for guidance.just bought 77 280z and am undecided about whether to keep the stock engine and get some more hp out of the engine or go with the v8. Need some help on this. Also if I do go with the v8 I want to use the LS1 motor and the borg-warner t56 6 speed tranny. Is this a good combo? I know the automatic tranny would be easier but I like the manual tranny better. Where is there a good place to purchase the LS1 engine. Money is a issue, so would a regular 350 with cast iron block be just as good. thanks

Got a ways to go, had to completely scrap and redesign teh mounts. Side mounts didn't fare too well, so I opted to cheat, and used an '82 12a rx-7 front engine cover with front mount bolt points (same as 510 guys use). Will have to modify the oilpan, but otherwise now it's bolted to the crossmember. have to add a few reinforcements here and there, and a panhard type bar for the side of hte motor so it doesn't travel left/right on turns. Motor is a 13B-RE, originaly twin turbo, now converted to single garrett t04s 60-1. Fuel is managed through a parallel -6an fuel rail setup, fed by -8an line from a fuel cell, into 550cc primary, and 1,680cc secondaries. Transmission is …

My wife bought a new 1978 280Z at Bellevue Washington in Nov.1978. It is a convertible and their were 3 additional conversions on the lot at that time. Has anyone heard of or seen any of these cars? We just took it out of storage after 19 years and got it running last week. All new brakes, clutch cylinders and a cleaned gas tank and new hoses. Still looking to replace tires. Have some body work and paint to do. Let me tell you If you need to do something for your wife this does wonders. But I did work on my 1976 Corvette before I started her project. It was suprising how little it took to get it back on the road. Engine turned over ok and we had it running on the se…

After looking at some photos in struck me that the GTO conversion for the Datsun and the Daytona Couple have almost exactly the same lines almost all the way around. Any one ever think of buying the kit and using it as a starting point to make your z into a Daytona couple knockoff?

First off my name's Mike and I'm from Camarillo, CA. I spend most of my time over at got-z.com but I've asked this question there and have gotten no where so I figured I'd come to the source or at least hopefully that's where I'm at cause the picture you see below says so :cheeky: Anyway I'm trying like mad to find the front airdam used on this hybrid 240z/240sx and not having any luck. Does anyone here happen to know where I can get it ?? I'm not interested in the whole kit I have a 72 240z to put the front airdam on IF I can find it..haha .

Has anyone ever heard of steel headlight covers for a 240 Z? I would like to weld them in place and paint them body color.

I've been talking to a guy who makes carbon fiber and fiberglass - whatever you want basicly. I'm gonna have him make the center console in carbon to start with. But I don't think it's gonna stop there. When he mentioned hoods he's made that weigh 1.5 Kilograms, how could I not be tempted? Anyway - the parts I have in mind (maybe) getting are these: Hood Doors Rear hatch Front fenders Wishbones (either Carbon or Chrome Moly) Front/rear spoiler + side skirts Do you have any suggestions/interests on/in other parts? Once the molds have been made it wouldn't be entirely impossible to make some more for you guys. Not sure of pricing yet - but probably a…

I thought it would be good to make a thread containing a LINK COLLECTION to carbon fiber and fiberglass parts, so you would not have to look for the links elsewhere like... Oh, I don't know - like in a thread about suggestions on parts to be made from CF? We don't want people getting lost in threads. So here you go folks, a collection of links to people who make parts from carbon fiber and fiberglass - for a living. Yay! Arizona Z-car http://www.arizonazcar.com/body.html Fiberglass: Hoods, rear decks, doors, bumpers, fenders, spoilers, headlight buckets, etc. Beta Motorsports http://betamotorsports.com/products/240BodyComposites.html Carbon fiber: Hood and rear…

Just found these pics the other day - what a CLEAN 240! I'm not too fond of the colour, but I thought some would be interested. And that's not the only thing about this 240Z which is from a 350Z............
